I walked up to the little house and knocked. I didn't expect anyone to answer so I didn't know why I did. However surprisingly the door swung open and there stood Lay. "You." He said voice trembling. I forced my way inside pushing him further into the room and closed the door behind us. He backed up looking around before he gave up and turned to face me. He knew that there was no escape, that his time had come. He was no stranger to this life, and he was intelligent. So I didn't know why he made the stupid decision to run.And the even dumber move of making a phone call today that we could trace back to this location. "Why did you run?" I asked.

He eyed me not saying a word. Until he spoke. "You know that when this is all over he won't hesitate to get rid of us all. Even you, so don't think being his favorite will save you."

I chuckled. "Ah that's where your underestimating me. I have my own plans. Sadly though you won't be there when it all happens."

I stepped forward. I knew it wouldn't be easy. He was aware that his death was imminent, lay would fight back.

He pulled out a knife from behind him.

I laughed. This would be fun.

We circled each other in the small room. I was going to use that to my advantage.

I lunged forward and since lay was in the defensive and nervous he took a step back knocking into the chair behind him. He feel back word and I jumped on him grabbing his wrist and prying the knife out of his hand.

I then wrapped my hands around his throat and squeezed. He flailed around gripping my hands trying to part them from around his neck but I held firm. His feet thumped against the ground rhythmically as he tried to get oxygen into his lungs.

Soon he stopped struggling as he began to suffocate.

When he became still I checked his pulse. He was dead. I stood up and turned towards the door when a knock sounded. I froze. I never thought to wonder just who it was Lay has called and what for.

The knock sounded again.

I wasn't sure what to do. I could confront whoever this was and kill them, or I could wait.

I moved to the other side of the door where when the person entered the door would conceal my presence. Just as I did this the door swung open and someone walked in.

I watched the shadowy figure until they came into the like and looked around. It was her.

I watched her come and kneel beside Lays body. She touched him and then looked around.

Shit. His body would be warm. She would know that I was still here. There was no doubt in my mind that she would start looking around.

I would either have to kill her, or try and make an escape.
