After getting ready, I headed down the the bay area, where we would meet the rest of our troops. Seeing a thick fog from up ahead, I heard Katara shout,
"They're here!"
Aang and Toph earthbended several docks for the water tribe boats that sailed in. Katara's father stepped down, along with the rest of his men. Katara and Sokka greeted him excitedly. Katara took my hand and gestured to her father.
"Kira, I don't think you've met my dad, Hakoda." I offered a bow, as he did the same. Holding out his hand, we shook
"I've heard lots about the fugitive of the Fire Nation," He said with a wink. "Or, do you go by General?"
"Not anymore." I said chuckling. "Although the name still has a nice ring to it."
I was introduced to several more of the gang's comrades including, an earth bender boy and his father, Haru and Tyro. Toph's past brawling friends, the Big Bad Hippo and the Boulder, as well as some "swamp people" that they had met before finding Toph. There was also the Mechanist, and his son, who couldn't walk, named Teo. He had been in charge of making Sokka's ideal machines come to life.
The Mechanist had also made Aang a new glider to fly.
Someone shouted from nearby.
"Isn't that a Fire Nation Ship?" People shouted in surprise, ready to attack. I ran towards the docks and shook my head.
"No, wait! Don't attack!" They all paused, as I shot a flare into the sky, arching and bending into the shape of a dragon. There was a few seconds of silence, before a flare was shot up from the ship. It too, curved into a dragon. I let out a sigh of relief.
"It's okay!" I shouted, "They're friends."
"Are they your men?" Sokka asked, rushing over to me. "Please tell me that they were careful and didn't lead a bunch of Fire Nation soldiers to our hideout."
"Don't be an idiot," I scoffed, "My twenty soldiers would never get caught."
Once the ship docked, the platform extended down, and rushed footsteps echoed down the metal board, running towards me.
"Captain!!!!" They all shouted, engulfing me in hugs.
"I'm glad you guys made it here safe!" I said happily.
"We thought you were dead!" Lee exclaimed. "And then we received the letter from that wild bird, and we couldn't believe it!"
"Did you go over everything I sent to you?" I asked.
"It took a few days to decipher, but yes." Lee said, nodding. I turned to the rest of the group.
"Everyone, these are my men. They're here to help with the invasion plan as well." I pushed Lee forward as he bowed. "If you could please welcome them."

As my men and the rest of the men started to talk to one another, we prepared to explain all the battle plans to the rest. Sokka looked extremely nervous, as he prepared to speak to everyone.
"Don't worry," Hakoda said, patting his son on the back. "You'll do great." As we sat to one side of a rock podium, Sokka took the front stage.
"Good morning everyone!" Sokka said, suddenly tripping, and quickly getting up. "...So as you know today, we're invading the Fire Nation! I know you know that because otherwise why else would you be here?" Sokka chuckled nervously and continued, "Uh anyway. The Fire Lord's palace is here. Uh nope, uh wait, uh wait, uhhhmm. it's here. And uh, there's an eclipse today and Aang's gonna fight the Fire Lord, and the firebenders won't have any fire to use so that's good for us! And... um... I'm sorry, let me start at the beginning." Sokka took a deep breath, and started an extremely long story.
