I watched as Master Piandao stood up, announcing that he would teach Sokka. Sokka stood up, sounding surprised but grateful. As Piandao spoke to him more, he glanced at the doorway, catching my eyes. He gave me a small smile before I disappeared down the hallway.
My heart was thundering in my ears. I was excited, elated really. But, I still ran down the hallway finding my room and closing the door. I wanted to see them, but to see them so suddenly... I was shocked.
I stayed in my room for the remainder of the day. In the evening, Master Piandao approached me.
"You know that young man." He said, as I nodded.
"You heard his name, Sokka." I said, "He's one my my friends. One of the Avatar's friends."
"He's from the water tribe, isn't he?"
"How could you tell?"
"It's the name."
"You've agreed to train him." I noted. Master Piandao replied,
"I'm curious to see how he will improve with more training."
"He won't disappoint," I said, knowing Sokka's determination. "Trust me, I know."
For the next few days, I watched Sokka train. He never noticed me, as I never made myself be seen. I wasn't sure how to approach him, or the rest of the gang. The awkward thought in my head poked at me, what if they thought I was dead? Surprisingly, I felt a bit of shame. I felt sorry for Aang's injuries at Ba Sing Se, guilty for the destruction the Fire Nation had waged in the Earth Kingdom. For many moments, I felt undeserving to meet them again.
But even then, each day, I watched as Sokka improved more and more. I felt proud of his success. In the evenings, Piandao and I would talk about him and what he could improve on.
Eventually, Piandao led Sokka through the process of creating a sword, and I watched from a distance as he stayed up, heating the metal for his sword, shaping it into a magnificent weapon.

The morning after Sokka made his sword, Piandao told me to stay in my room for the rest of the day. He was going to evaluate Sokka and he didn't know how messy it would get.
"Try to be nice." I said jokingly, closing the door. I stayed inside my room and medicated. While I was distracted by the resurgence of my friends, during the night I was dealing with some issues... the nightmarish kind. I thought that maybe I needed to rest more, to shake off everything that I had dreamed about. Sitting on a cushion, right in front of the window and let out a breath, and closed my eyes.
Being dragged into the Spirit world again, I opened my eyes. I stood on a mountain, with flat rock on tip. Several open caves were in front of me: the Dragon Council. It had been ages since I had been here again, recalling the last time was way before meeting Aang.
"Well, this is nostalgic." I called out, "What is it this time?" Several colorful Dragons appeared from their caves.
"The comet is approaching," Ryuki said, from the center. "Your dreams are not just nightmares."
"My dreams are about people screaming, as fire spreads across the land, far too quickly for people to escape. Are you saying this is the future?" I received no reply. I gritted my teeth. "How am I supposed to fix anything if you won't tell me anything?"
The Spirit World faded away from my sight and I opened my eyes. I groaned and rubbed my forehead.
"Stupid spiritual warnings." I muttered, "They're never clear." I wanted to mull over my nightmares and what Ryuki had said, but I was distracted by a sharp knock on my door. Jumping, I looked behind me as the door opened.
