"no? mark, you've rejected every one of my offer. this one's a hit i promise!"

"no is no, johnny." the younger spoke as he put on his checkered button ups and swung his backpack on his shoulder, getting ready to go to campus.

"why?"

"because," mark sighed. "i-i just want to find my true love my own, okay? no more blind dates... please."

"fine." the american said with a playful sigh, not wanting to seem like he was forcing.

mark is now 22, still in uni and still singly thriving. never has he dated someone, even just playfully, in his life. he didn't know why, he didn't know how he didn't find a hint of interest in dating. some people even think he doesn't have the feeling of love even if girls had been near him ever since he stepped on the grounds of the campus.

"hey guys, lunch at the restaursnt down the street at 1? we all have free period then right?" jaehyun, another friend of mark's sneaked over to their desk and patted johnny's back whilst. the two, johnny and mark, averted their attention to him and nodded in agreement.
"nice, i'm bringing my love." the newcomer winked.

"oh shut up. what's up with the 'three guys thrive' rule between us, huh?"

"what? i thought we cutted the rule long time ago."

"no jae, you're not bringing another person to guys' lunch. especially since taeyong and donghyuck will be there. you know how they are." johnny said as he rolled his eyes and sighed.
"and stop with that wink, looks gay."

"you're gay." jaehyun shot back and it earned a loud cackle from their youngest.

"hahaha, very funny mark." a sarcastic laugh escaped from the american's mouth as he huffed.

"okay okay, that was very funny though."

"yeah. very."

"oh wait guys," mark stopped the two boys as they were about to enter their first class.
"who's donghyuck?"

"wait... you don't know?"

"lee donghyuck?" johnny continued.
"that gorgeous kid with beautiful honey skin and a cocky ass behaviour?"

"cute and cuddly but has an awful temper that makes him cute?" jaehyun continued while giving mark a knowing look, trying to help the younger know who he is.

"i uh... i don't... recall someone named donghyuck."

"it's okay man, you'll meet him in no time." the oldest among them said and patter mark's back with a smile.

"yong!" the deep voice belonging to jaehyun's called onto the young man wearing a white t-shirt with drawings all over it, along with jeans that are ripped with style. mark and johnny on the other hand smiled widely at the interaction.

taeyong chuckled at jaehyun's clinginess as they hugged each other, sticking until they grabbed a seat at a round table. a waitress wearing a waist apron came to take their order as they chatted a little to catch up.

after taking orders, the lady walked away to process them and the boys were finally able to talk freely.

"i missed you." jaehyun said and everyone on the table reacted, mark with a disgusted teasing face but laughed his ass off, taeyong blushing a little, and johnny cooing and poking jaehyun's stomach, making the boy flinch and glare at him.

"what kind of cheese are you, jae? string cheese, cheddar, mozarel-"

"a cheese that chokes you at night. shut up, john." the latter rolled his eyes and tightened his arms are taeyong's who happily giggled.

"hm. kinky, dude."

"ew what the hell..." jaehyun cursed internally as he saw johnny's winking eyes, attempting at a flirt before they all laughed and brushed it off.

"hey by the way," johnny said after he finished teasing his friend, "where's hyuck?"

"oh hyuck is just finishing up some business with his boss. he said he'll be here soon." taeyong explained and everyone nodded their heads.

they talked and chatted for a few moments, mostly them making fun of each other and laughing out loud. it seems as if the restaurant was their home, but none of the staffs complained as they were a regular and were used to the noise from the boys as well.

johnny and mark talked about how taeyong was handling both uni and a hard part time job at the same time. jaehyun? well he's busy looking at the boy beside him, eyes filled with hearts.

"pft jae." johnny started again.

"hm?"

"when you said i looked gay, i think you're talking about yourself." they all laughed at the words, leaving taeyong in confusion but quickly caught up and laughed as well.

"am i missing something?"

"hyuck! come sit here, you didn't miss anything important don't worry." taeyong smiled and patted the seat beside him. right across mark's.

talking about mark, it was as if his world stopped after hearing the honey-like voice of the younger. and when he looked up, God was that boy with raven hair and red streaks beautiful as ever. sounds overreacting, but it was what he saw. everyone who first saw him would think that too.

"looking kinda good, hyuck." johnny said as he nodded slowly, looking at the tan-skinned male while jokingly smirking.

"shut up, hyung."

"why is everyone telling me to shut up?" actor johnny made its way to the stage and started fake crying before earning a teasing chuckle from taeyong.

"i haven't seen you in a long time, little bro. you've changed a lot." jaehyun now spoke and approached the younger, patting his back.

one thing mark noticed while trying to get a glance of the boy, he never smiled. other than sarcastic smirks and scoffs and nods, nothing showing happiness or a smile can be seen.

"oh and hyuck," the american said while giving a pat on mark's shoulder, making him jolt out of daydream into reality, "this is mark by the way. mark, donghyuck."

"hi." the ravenette said with a shy wave as donghyuck nodded in response with a stoic face.

shit that was so awkward. mark cursed inside.

"here's your meals, boys." the waitress came and mark almost hugged her in relief as she had saved him from being dumb and saying things out of nervousness.

donghyuck took a last glance at mark before digging into his own meal while conversing with the boys.

even if he didn't show any interest in the older, he secretly took glances at the shy handsome boy.
