donghyuck felt a weird tingle in his chest, him sitting on a chair in front of a circle-shaped mirror inside his room.

the feeling in his heart tightened. familiar, but he didn't want to admit it. he didn't want to acknowledge it.

it's an angel's deed, he reminded himself.

and donghyuck was right.

an angel would feel that tingling sensation in their chests as a signal that their human needs help, physically or emotionally.

signals are stronger when that human, angel, or devil is their soulmate. but it was also said that tingles for soulmates only occur on earth. in the spiritual world, tingles of non-soulmates and soulmates are the same, therefore, complicating to make a conclusion if their soulmate is really in trouble, or another human that's a non-soulmate. .

donghyuck denied the fact that the feeling inside his chest was a call of need. perhaps it's just hallucination? or it's just him feeling things?

even so, donghyuck was disturbed. he can't help but let worry wash over him. what if someone's really in trouble? why isn't the tingle stopping?

"what's wrong, hm? i can sense your anxiousness from outside." jaemin entered the older's room with a straight, emotionless face. nonetheless, donghyuck knew he couldn't hide anything from the latter.

"nothing."

"idiot. you think i don't know what's going on?" the maroon-headed boy chuckled lowly and took a seat on donghyuck's white sheet bed.

"it's weird to tell you."

"nothing is weird, dumbass. everything in this world happens for a reason." jaemin neared himself to the latter and looked at him in the eyes.
"and that i meant supernatural things that sometimes don't have explanations, hyuck."

"but it's unlike me." the ravenette-red haired male whined as he place both of his palm on his face, covering it almost entirely.

"... like what?"

"like... feeling a tingle on my chest like an angel would?" between the silence, jaemin didn't hesitate to conclude that donghyuck may have a chance to bring back his old self. his angel self. it's a myth and it's one that no angel would like to believe. because no one have really done it in history.

it is said: once an angel turns into a fallen, they can't force themselves back to being what they were because it's against the law to. there is no 'or else' other than death.

ridiculous? very. why would someone kill a fallen just because they're turning back to being an angel?

jaemin didn't want that to happen obviously, even if it's just a myth. yes, he's a devil. and devils are said to be heartless and ruthless and everything bad combined into one creature.

but jaemin would do anything to protect his own best friend, even if he had to let donghyuck be clueless that turning into an angel is possible. because simply, he didn't want donghyuck to die. not when their father wanted that.

"it's probably just a feeling, hyuck. you're basically hallucinating."

"what i was thinking. but it's all too real. too... realistic." fiddling with his finger, donghyuck played with the small fire he elicited on the tip of his index finger.

"just don't care about it. forget it. let it go as if it's nothing."

"why?"

"just... do it." jaemin said lastly with a pursed smile before getting up and leaving the room.

"weird." the ravenette mumbled to himself about jaemin and shrugged.

and for fun, he decided to travel back to earth.

"we'll for sure visit you again during holidays, mark." the second oldest among the three said as they did a group hug in front of jaehyun's house. it was the day he'll leave with johnny, and mark couldn't bring the mood down by being all grumpy.

just a few days, he reminded himself. just a few days, and johnny hyung will come back.

"yeah mark, i'll be back in a few days anyways." johnny continued as he patted the canadian's shoulder after parting from the hug.

"i know. i'm just sad i'll be alone."

"you can call taeyong or hyuck if you ever feel lonely, you know?"

"not... not hyuck please that kid is scaring me." at mark's response, the two boys chuckled at their youngest friend being all scared of someone a year younger than them. then again, they couldn't agree more with that statement, donghyuck had a strong aura around him that made him intimidating.

"anyways, we gotta go before we miss the plane."

"yeah, go ahead." with the last high five, johnny and jaehyun went into the called taxi and drove off to the airport, waving goodbye to mark standing at the porch and getting ready to get back on his motorbike.

"HOLY SHI-" mark shouted as he felt someone stand in front of him all of a sudden.

"shut the fuck up."

"okay." mark said quickly in a timid voice and held onto the hem of his jacket nervously.

the boy looked around, eyebrows clashing and his lips frowning.

"where's jaehyun and johnny hyung?" the honey voice continued, questioning mark who still replied nothing after a few seconds.
"hey marcus."

"h-huh?"

"where's johnny and jaehyun hyung? they leaving?" the older made a quick 'o' shape with his mouth after realizing and replied,

"oh uhm... they left earlier."

"i can see that, marcus."

"i-it's mark." mark said again witha soft voice, and donghyuck made judging look towards latter who just stood there doing nothing while holding the keys to his motor bike.

"whatever. do you know where taeyong hyung is?"

"no."

"then give me a ride, i'm going to his house which is a 30 minute walk from here. i'm not walking out in the sun that long." the tan-skinned male immediately pulled mark with him to the canadian's motorbike, which made mark ride the front part quickly and turning on the engine. donghyuck on the other hand sat at the passanger area, not putting on a helmet that has been prepared.

"use it."

"no." the younger replied sassily.

"use it, donghyuck." still with a soft voice, mark shoved the helmet to donghyuck's hands before getting shoved back because clearly the latter didn't want to use it.

"i'm not using this." he said, "who wears a my melody helmet while riding a cool motorcycle?"

"it's for your safety. plus, no one will see who it is behind the helmet."

"i don't need safety i just need you to give me a ride to taeyong hyung's house."

right when donghyuck finished talking mark huffed a little.

"just use it, or i'm not giving you a ride there." his words were simple and his voice didn't change a single tone or volume. but why did donghyuck follow him right away?
"that's more like it." the older smiled and grabbed onto the steering wheel of the vehicle.

"fuck you mark." the fallen mumbled a little which went unheard by the male in front of him.
"fuck you."
