Chapter 12: The Fight And A Surprise

Steve in his uniform strides through an underpass, then jogs onto a private runway in the airport, heading for a grounded chopper. Suddenly, an electro-disabler slams onto the chopper, causing Steve to look up in surprise. Iron Man and War Machine decent and land in front of the chopper, their appearance not surprising him at all. Iron Man's helmet gets extended back into his suit,  "Wow, it's so weird how you run into people at the airport. Don't you think that's weird?" Tony sarcastically asks Rhodey, "Definitely weird." Rhodey answered. Tony slightly nods at Rhodey's answer, sending a glare towards Steve.

"Hear me out, Tony. That doctor, the psychiatrist, he's behind all of this." Steve stated. Out of nowhere, T'Challa, in his Black Panther suit, leaps over a truck, presenting himself to Steve, "Captain." T'Challa greeted. "Your highness." Steve greets back. Tony started to walk side to side, "Anyway, Ross gave me 36 hours to bring you in. That was 24 hours ago. Can you help a brother out?" Iron Man asks. " You're after the wrong guy." Cap replied, still trying to convince them. 

"Your judgment is askew. Your old war buddy killed innocent people yesterday." Iron Man exclaimed, stopping in his steps. " And there are five more super soldiers just like him. I can't let the doctor find them first, Tony. I can't." Steve confided. Natasha walked out of cover, revealing herself to him, "Steve... you know what's about to happen. Do you really wanna punch your way out of this one?" Natasha tries to persuade. Tony was tired of the talk, "All right, I've run out of patience. Underoos!" Tony calls out. Suddenly, Steve's hands were tied together with webs and his shield webbed away in the air. 

Cap looks around to see 2 mysterious heroes landing on a truck. One wearing a red and blue suit with a small spider symbol, holding his shield, and the other, having a similar suit with red and blue, but he had a large white symbol on his chest with more blue in his suit compared to his counterpart,  "Hey everyone." the 2 greeted. Jacob and Peter stayed n that position for a bit while Steve looked in confusion. He recognized the voice of the one with the white spider symbol. "Nice job you two." Tony complimented. Peter and Jacob couldn't hold it anymore, "Thanks. Well, we could've stuck the landing a little better." Peter said as he looked towards Jacob, who nodded and and started crouching only on 1 knee, "Yeah, we could've. It's... the new suit. I mean it's nothing, Mr. Stark." Jacob stumbled. "He's right. It's--it's perfect. Thank you." Peter added. Jacob continued to nod his head in response.

Tony sighed, "Yeah, we don't really need to start a conversation." Tony told him. Peter and Jacob waved at the other superheroes, saying, 'Hello.' to them while Tony just tried to stop them from embarrassing themselves. "Okay. Cap... Captain. Big fan, Spider-Man." Peter introduced. He then pointed at Jacob, "Spider-X." Jacob waved as well. "Yeah, we'll talk about it later. Just..." Tony stopped the 2 again. "Hey, everyone." Jacob greeted again.  "Good job." Tony interrupted. 

Steve definitely knew that voice. An awkward silence filled the air for a second, before Steve realized what he's been doing, "You've been busy." Steve told Tony. Tony finally snapped, "And you've been a complete idiot. Dragging in Clint. 'Rescuing' Wanda from a place she doesn't even want to leave, a safe place. I'm trying to keep... I'm trying to keep you from tearing the Avengers apart." Tony said, suddenly realized what he said about Wanda. Jacob's eyes widen at her name and sudden realization, "Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Wanda is involved in this too? I thought she was safe at the compound!" Jacob demanded for answers. "Cap over here, 'Rescued' her from the compound. This was also after I recruited you, so technically... I wasn't lying." Tony told him. 

Jacob's eyes started glaring at Cap as he finally realized who it was under the mask. He pushed that aside for now to continue talking with Tony, "You broke the Avengers apart... when you signed." Steve told him. Tony slowly stared to lose his cool and have enough, "Alright, We're done. You're gonna turn Barnes over, you're gonna come with us. NOW! Because it's us! Or a squad of J-SOC guys... with no compunction about being impolite." Tony warned. Steve looks aside from Tony's words as Sam spoke in his comms, "We found it. Their Quinjet's in hanger five, north runway." Sam told him. Steve held up his hands up and out of nowhere, Clint shot the web tying his hands together, off. Tony's mask covered his face as he looked in the direction the arrow came from, "Alright, Lang." Cap told him. Jacob and Peter suddenly both felt a tingling feeling, "Hey, guys, something-" Peter was cut off by a man suddenly jumping off of the shield, kicking Peter into Jacob, and grabbing the shield with him as he landed next to Cap. 

"Whoa. What--what the hell was that?" James questioned in surprise of the man in the ant-like suit. Lang handed the shield back to Cap, "I believe this is yours, Captain America." Lang said. Tony scanned the area to see Clint and Wanda running away in the parking deck,  "Oh, great. Alright, there's two on the parking deck. One of them's Maximoff, I'm gonna grab her. Rhodey, you want to take Cap?" Tony asked. "Wait, Mr. Stark! I can deal with Wanda!" Jacob yelled. Tony denied his offer, "No! Go help your brother!" Tony yelled back, causing Jacob to sigh and grunt. "Got two in the terminal, Wilson and Barnes." James informed them all. Black Panther's focus immediately changed a the name of Barnes, "Barnes is mine!" he exclaimed. He ran off in that direction as Steve chased after him.  This left Peter and Jacob nothing to really do, "Hey, Mr. Stark, what should we do?" Peter asked him. "What we discussed. Keep your distance. Web 'em up." Tony ordered. "Okay, copy that!" Peter and Jacob both answered as they swung off towards Bucky and Wilson.

Cap tackled T'Challa to the ground, and he quickly got back up, but Steve was in his way, "Move, Captain. I won't ask a second time." T'Challa warned. In the meantime, Lang was facing Black Widow, "Look, I really don't want to hurt you." Lang stated. 

This didn't really frighten her, "I wouldn't stress about it." she shot back. She quickly grabs onto him and kicks him in the groin. She tries to throw him over her, but he miniaturizes, throwing her head over heels. He was running her arm across her back, but she quickly zaps him off her wrist with her Widow's Bite, causing him to slam into a nearby truck, leaving a small dent as Lang grunted in pain.

In the terminal,

Bucky and Sam were running through the terminal when they suddenly saw 2 masked men jump onto the glass wall as they started to crawl after them on the window, "What the hell is that?" Bucky questioned. 

Sam was annoyed, "Everyone's got a gimmick now." Sam complained.

Suddenly, Peter and Jacob swung through the glass wall. Jacob kicked kicked Sam out of the way. Sam began to fly off, but Jacob grabbed on, Sam taking Jacob with him. Bucky throws a punch at Peter, but he catches his fist like it was nothing. Bucky's eyes widened in surprise, "You have a metal arm? That is awesome, dude!" Peter happily complimented. "Look out!" Jacob yelled. 

Peter looks towards where the voice came from and was suddenly taken with on the ride on Falcon. The 2 tried to bring him down, but Sam kept hitting them, "You have the right to remain silent!" Jacob tried to yell, but kept on getting punched or pushed away. Mid-air Peter and Jacob were fending Sam off and swung after him using their webs.
