"All of you break up and back away from the gun with your hands up!" The officer instructed.

The three broke away from the fight and slowly departed from the gun. Within seconds of them backing away from the gun, the officers ran towards them with handcuffs.

"No officer! We didn't do anything! He had a gun!" Jacob exclaimed in fury as the officer ignored him and continue to cuff him.

"It was self defense!" Joey said.

"You have the right to remain silent." The officer talked over him.

A paramedics had arrived to take Cynthia. She took so many blows time the head that she wasn't waking Up.

"Oh God! Oh God! Please be okay mommy, please be okay!" Brittny wheezed in tears.

They placed Cynthia on the gurney and Brittny watched in fear. Her body was limp and almost dead like. That was Brittny's number one fear, losing her mother. She looked over at the door and saw the police taking Jacob and Joey away.

"Noooo!" She screamed as she ran over to them. "Please don't take him away! He was only helping!" She tugged on the officers jacket.

"Young lady, back away or you'll spend the night in the local juvenile center!" The officer raised his tone at her.

She backed away and watched as the police took Jacob away. The paramedics were about to take her mother to the hospital but she hurried up to her side and grabbed her mother's hand.

"We'll make it through this." She whispered to her mother as she kissed her forehead. They went down the elevator, in the lobby then rushed their way into the ambulance.

Brittny stayed by her mother's side the entire time. The ambulance ride was anything but peaceful. Brittny cried the entire time and prayed over and over.

"Dear God,

If you actually hear this, God. Please Take my words and listen...

I need the strength to carry on, I need more of Your blessing...

I know I don't usually come to to you, but can you hear me out?

Please don't take my mother so soon.

Give her a second chance to walk this earth...

She's can't leave me do soon. There's so much she might miss out...

I don't know if I can live without her... But please don't take her away from me so soon...

Let her be okay"

She repeated the prayer. They arrived and quickly rushed Cynthia to the ER. Brittny ran down the hallway of the hospital with the paramedics, but she was stopped by a male nurse.

"I'm sorry, but you can't go in there, Miss." He stopped her.

"No! That's my mother! Move out my way!" She yelled in tears. She couldn't believe that she was being stopped from seeing her mother.

"Young lady, we'll handle this." The doctor said as he ran into the ER.

Brittny went over into the waiting room and just sat there. After a while of thoughts drifting in and out of head, she came to the conclusion that she can no longer cry. Her life has been a river of tears. She didn't want to drown in them. Her tears had completely dried out and she was staring into space. She wasn't thinking about anything. Not even her mother. She just stared into space. She has been staring for so long that she didn't notice she had been sitting there for 3 hours straight. She looked out the window and saw that the sun was beginning to creep up. Just then the doctor came in.
