Two weeks later:

Annika opened the door of the house to see Shivaay hold his blazer in his hand with his sleeves rolled up. His hair was also disheveled.

"Oh, good you came. Pata hai since so long I was waiting for you" Annika said as she led him in.

"I think you have functioning eyes so you can see me come na, toh aisi stupid baatein kaise kar sakti ho?" Shivaay said angrily and crashed on the couch.

"Why are you getting angry? I just said a general statement" Annika said in a straight voice.

"God Annika! Stop this loud voice. I can't handle it right now" Shivaay shouted while rubbing his forehead.

The anger surging within Annika immediately flew away seeing his extremely exhausted posture.

Suddenly, Shivaay felt two soft hands on his forehead and he opened his eyes in a snap.

"Annika, kya kar rahi ho?" He asked surprised.

"Giving you a head massage. Can't you see?" She said sarcastically, now getting up and standing behind him to massage his forehead.

"Yes, I can but there is no need Annika. And I don't want you to take any more problems" Shivaay attempted to tilt his head but she didn't allow.

"What problem? I don't have any problem, nor do I feel uncomfortable. Apne best friend ki tension kam karna dusre best friend ka farz hai, isn't it?" She said with a smile that he also involuntarily reciprocated.

"But this is enough" He took her hands and pulled her in front of him. "I don't have the habit of people doing things for me so I get a little uncom.. no no.. a little confused when someone does it for me" Shivaay quickly rephrased the word uncomfortable when he saw Annika glare at him.

"It's okay, I understand and I also know how you don't like yourself in this look. See your beard, it has become so thick and your hair! They have grown so much. You look no less than the local don who lived in my locality" Annika joked while Shivaay frowned.

"Hey! Don't you go there. It is just that I haven't gotten the time to trim my beard at home, toh salon jaake haircut kab karvayu"

"But you look even more scary and intimidating than before. If not for your suits, aap mein and uss don mein, no difference"

"You are such a tease. You know how busy I have been since the last two weeks and yet you want to taunt me" He said and got up to get himself a glass of water.

"Oh come on. You don't even try to hide this thing from me. You are working long hours so that you can avoid Om and thinking about him.  You haven't picked up a single call of his. He even came here a few times yet you did not meet him. Why are you doing this? All of us know that you can't live without talking to him. I also know how secretly you call Rudra everyday to know about Om's wellbeing. Toh ek baar baat karke finish this so-called cold war"

Shivaay turned back and looked at Annika with a sombre expression.

"I can't and I won't. Because until and unless he take the efforts to stand up on his feet and understands his place in our lives, especially mine, he has to be punished"

"He is taking efforts Shivaay. He has again started going to therapy and is also managing his business well. So, please talk to him again"

"I can see his efforts Annika. But, that is not enough. Everything needs time and me not talking to him is his biggest motivation. Toh rehne do. Also, I am still angry at him"
