"Shivaay, what did you do? Aisa kaun karta hai?" Annika spoke baffled.

"Woh... " Shivaay fumbled as he was thinking about how was he going to tell her.

"Ab woh woh karte rahenge ya fir, you will tell me the truth?" She sounded really angry now.

"That was just to win against you" Shivaay replied with a shrug before going back to driving.

"Really? Are you nuts? You only screamed my name so loudly on a street just to win a bet that wasn't even a bet properly? You are just impossible Shivaay. I can't believe you" Annika shouted on him and focused on her attention outside the window.

Shivaay took a deep breath knowing that he had pissed her off and he didn't argue because he knew she was right in her place.

"Annika" She heard him call out to her softly but she didn't reply, instead just shrugged her shoulders like he had done a while ago.

"Listen na" Again he called and she repeated her actions. Shivaay couldn't keep calling her as there were a lot of cars on the road.

And that is when he heard her murmuring something under her breath. "Tadibaaz bagadbilla. Ye bhi nahi socha ki mein kitni darr jaungi. And now, so easily he is defending his actions"

Shivaay heard all of it clearly as his ears were sharp and she wasn't speaking in an exactly soft voice.

"Scared? Ismey darne ki kya baat thi Annika?" He asked and she turned his face towards him finally.

"You think it is funny Shivaay. Do you even know how scared was I when you literally screamed my name in the middle of our fun banter? Mujhe laga kuch ho gaya hai..... Aapko" She whispered the last part but Shivaay heard it.

That is when he realized that the relationship between him and Annika had moved steps ahead of friendship yet he forcefully refrained from terming it as love.

"Annika" He softly said and held her hand gently which was on her lap which made her look into his eyes. "Please don't cry. I don't like it when my best friend cries because of me. I promise you that it won't happen again"

Annika smiled in between the tears she didn't know had sprung from her eyes. "Pinky promise?" She innocently asked.

Shivaay also gave her a genuine smile before entwining his pinky finger with hers. "Pinky promise"

"Good Mr. Bagadbilla. Ek toh apni tadi mein aage peeche bhi dekhte nahi hai and nahi kisi aur ke baare mein sochte hai" She muttered and Shivaay snorted audibly.

"Oh come on Annika. Enough now. We are done with that matter. Quit it"

"It is my mouth, my words and aapse thodi keh rahi hu. Why are you getting so irritated then?" She said nonchalantly.

"Ha, but you are talking about me. And that too, mean things"

"So what? That is your personality. Deal with it or change it"

"And what about your attitude? Isn't that in kilos?"

"Aren't you the most wrong person on the face of this earth to talk about attitude Mr. The whole world combined and yet you would have more attitude"

"Ha ha. Saari galatiyan toh mujhmein hi hai na. I have immense attitude, I don't listen to you, I have a problematic personality. Then do one thing. Don't talk to me only" He said angrily before tightening his hold on the steering wheel and increasing the speed of the car.
