Annika and Shivaay entered the house to see the whole family sitting at the dinner table for dinner.

"Hello everyone" Annika exclaimed happily as she made her way towards the table followed closely by Shivaay.

"Annika puttar, Billu, acha hua you both came. This year, Diwali will be all the more beautiful" Dadi said happily as Shivaay and Annika took their places on the table. Annika sat beside Om who looked at her with a smile that didn't reach his eyes.

"He loves you too much Om. Don't worry, he will come around. Have patience and trust the love you have for him. And waise bhi, we are here only for a few days. Get him to forgive you. Samjhe?" Annika gently reassured him and Om smiled genuinely this time.

"Shivaay, you are okay na. And are you taking care of Annika properly?" Pinky asked her son as she forwarded a morsel of food in front of him to eat.

"Yes mom. I am fine and Annika is too. Anni, tell them" Shivaay ate the morsel his mother fed him but didn't realize the addressal he made to Annika.

"Anni and all huh" Only when Rudra teased him and he heard giggles around the table, did he become aware of his folly.

Annika, on the other hand, had turned red, not by blushing but with embarrassment.

"Mr. Rudra Singh Oberoi, as a punishment for this teasing, you are not getting the car you have been demanding from me" Shivaay threatened with a smirk on gaining the upper hand.

Rudra immediately shut up while others giggled again seeing Rudra on the spot.

"Papa" Rudra whined and looked at Tej who just shrugged.

"You asked for a car from him toh ab don't look at me for support. Shivaay ke aage, I am not saying anything" Tej replied nonchalantly before concentrating on his food again.

"Bhabhi, at least you tell Bhaiya na to not give me such a big punishment. I really want that car. Please bolo na bhaiya ko" Rudra pleaded with Annika and made his famous puppy face.

"Anni, sochna bhi mat" Shivaay warned seeing Annika almost melt at Rudra's face.

"Par Shivaay"

"Nahi"

"Shivaay, now don't tease him further" Om interjected.

Shivaay ignored him and continued with his food. Om sighed and exchanged a look with Annika. She blinked her eyes and gave him an assuring look.

And Annika then squeezed Shivaay's hand which visibly made him relax.

After dinner, Shivaay was going to his room when Tej called him.

"Anni, I will be back in a few minutes. You fresh up and change"

She nodded and left. Shivaay followed Tej. Once they reached Shivaay's study, Tej bolted the door shut and looked panicky.

"Kya hua Bade Papa? Why are you so tensed?"

"Its Svetlana. She has been calling me for the past few days and wants to meet me. I don't want to. Finally mere and Janvi ke beech mein sab theek hua hai. I don't want to ruin my relationship with her and my children more. Moreover, I don't know what she has up her sleeve. Her coming back after such a long time and that so causally just doesn't add up. There is definitely something amiss"

Tej looked at Shivaay who had slumped down on his chair.

"Shivaay, did you even hear what I said?"
