Annika stirred in her sleep when the sunrays disturbed her. She instantly felt some pain in her neck and her hand immediately went to caress it. That is when she noticed her surroundings. She was resting her head on the window of the balcony while Shivaay was soundly sleeping on the bed.

She recollected how they had dinner and Shivaay had gone to sleep while in the same position with his hand enclosed around her neck. The butterflies had refused to die down in her stomach. But, the giddiness only remained till yesterday. Today, all that she was feeling was awkwardness. Shivaay and she, so close, so intimate. It was wrong. She has to ignore him to the maximum and here she was sitting so closer to him than ever.

Annika was such a conflicting position that while she had liked the closeness, she is not supposed to feel this way.

When he went deep into sleep, she slowly detached herself and made him rest properly, taking care that his wound is not pressurized. And not taking away her gaze from his peaceful face, she settled herself on the balcony and didn't realize when she slept.

Now how was she going to face Shivaay after he wakes up. She can't even escape him. He needs to be given breakfast, medicines and kept check of. And these things definitely weren't possible until she comes in front of him. But she wouldn't talk to him, yes, that is possible. She won't talk to him and if circumstances do force her, minimal talk will do it.

Shivaay was not someone to sleep for so late but the effect of the medicines and the strain on his body had made him tired.

Giving a last longing look, Annika got up and tied her hair as she made her way to the kitchen. There, she saw the tiffins of breakfast for both of them. Khanna may have come sometime earlier and kept the box there. Shivaay had given Khanna the key for emergencies and it was good that he brought the breakfast on time without disturbing any of them.

Keeping it aside for some time, she first kept the tea and coffee to prepare while she went to wake Shivaay up.

"Shivaay, uthiye. It is 8:15. Get up and have breakfast. Gauri must be coming to do the dressing. Before that, you need to eat. Come on, get up" She shook him and he squinted his eyes open.

Taking her forwarded hand to sit up carefully, he got up and let out a deep breath out of tiredness.

"Are you okay?" She asked, concerned.

"Yeah, exert karta hu toh thakaan aasani se ho jaati hai. I don't like it but can't do anything. It hate that"

"Don't" She said while looking down, trying her best to avoid him. Internally, she was a bit relieved that he didn't mention anything about yesterday and their closeness.

"Fine" Hearing her monosyllabic answer, he realized she is back in her shell and won't talk. Probably because of yesterday? Shit, if that is the case, he maybe didn't do the right thing. But until and unless she doesn't want to talk about it, he also shouldn't breach the topic. So, he put his hands up in surrender and immediately winced as it put pressure on his wound. Making a cute face he looked at Annika hoping that she would reprimand him for his silly act but instead she just nodded her head and went out of the room.

Getting the hint, Shivaay slowly got up and went into the washroom. Annika, who was standing just outside paying close attention to him was relieved seeing him safe. She then made her way back to the kitchen.

When she came back after 10 minutes after heating the breakfast and preparing Shivaay's coffee, she found him sitting on the bed again.

"Here" She forwarded the tray and when he took it, she went to get his medicines.
