Porsche's POV:

I came out of the shower to Kinn talking on the phone. "Thank you. Keep investigating on them. I want to know who they were connected to in recent months."
"Something new?" I ask as I dry my hair.
"P'Chan found out the men worked for a rival family in the past, but they were dismissed and worked as freelancers for anyone who paid enough," he responds and walks towards me. He takes the towel from my hands and starts drying my hair. "So basically mercenaries," I comment and enjoy his caressing.
"Hmm..but he couldn't find who they worked for in recent months. Apparently, they stopped working about two months ago, so either someone hired them or they decided to do this on their own," he stops caressing my hair and leaves to put the towel back in the bathroom.
"I don't think they did it on their own. They don't have enough resources to do so and no reason anyway. Maybe the family who they previously worked for hired them," I say a little louder so he can hear me.
"It's not impossible but highly unlikely. They didn't leave on good terms and the only reason they weren't killed, was because they knew something about the family that wasn't supposed to get out. I think they would rather kill them than hire them," Kinn says and gets back to the bedroom. He sits on the bed with his hands behind his back and looks at me.
"You know we have to talk to Vegas about it. And we need to work with them," I say and look back at him. He rolls his eyes. I know Kinn is not pleased by this. Vegas and he behave quite respectfully around each other, but it's only because of me and Pete. Especially Pete. I could not believe anyone would be able to tame Vegas but he is so whipped he behaves better than Kinn most of the time.

"We need to work together if they are going for all of us. Don't be childish," I admonish him and go sit on his lap. I put my arms around his neck.
"I know, but father won't be pleased."
"Your father should worry more about his safety than Vegas and you working together," I say and rest my forehead on his. Kinn doesn't say anything. He just sights and strokes my back. *

Vegas' POV:
I open our room door very quietly, so I don't wake up Pete. I went to check on Khun and Venice. They were sleeping soundly in Khun's room with bodyguards being awake and on alert. I assume they were pretty terrified by my speech. I smirk. Good.

When I get back to the room Pete is still deeply asleep. I walk to lie down next to him, but then I spot something shiny on the table in front of the bad. It's the mysterious bracelet. I must admit I now understand why Pete thought it was from me. It looks a lot like my style. Except for the cheesy line. My long-lost love. I move it in my hand a few times. It would look good on Pete. It's his style as much as mine. Maybe I should get him something like this. But I should think about something better to engrave on it.

I put the bracelet back where I found it and go lie down next to Pete. The sun is coming through the window, it's almost morning, but I want to sleep for a few more hours. As I turn to face Pete on the bed something shines into my eyes. The sun reflects from the bracelet right onto my spot. I should have put it elsewhere. *

Pete's POV:
I was feeding Venice when Porsche and Kinn came to the house. They brought new information.
"We can't find who they were working for these past two months," Kinn says to Vegas.
"I ask some of my contacts," Vegas responds to Kinn's unspoken request.
"They have to be someone very powerful if they managed to keep it a security," I comment and go put Venice into his crib. I know how hard is to keep something like that a secret on the streets and if they managed to cover it even before the main family...There are not many people that can do that. I let Vegas get in touch with his contacts, but I doubt he is going to find anything. When Venice is satisfied and in his crib, I go and sit next to Vegas. The crib is moved so it's closer to us.
"We need to think how would we do it," Khun says.
"What do you mean?" Kinn looks at him questioning what his brother is about again.
"You know, how would we do this if we tried to take down some other family. It's not like we don't know how to keep things like this a secret."
"We would only have one person to communicate with them. Someone who isn't tied to the family as a stable worker. Someone who occasionally works for us on jobs we cannot send our men to. Essentially the men wouldn't know who hired them as the liaison works for many people," Vegas explains.
"But they were talking about killing us with too much passion."
"Than they are doing it on their own," Khun claims."Hardly, they don't have enough resources," Kinn argues.
"Then they are just too homophobic and are enjoying that they can haunt us," Khun says and Vegas sends a death stare at him. He doesn't notice and continues: "Was the five of them the whole group? Are they dead?"
"No. According to P'Chan only four of them were the original group, but they grew bigger and should now have about 10 members. Vegas only killed one of the originals," Kinn explains.
"That means they are still after us. Kinn and I discussed it and we think they won't try anything here when we are a large group. We have too many bodyguards here or in the mansions and its only six of them. They will try to get us when we are alone. We should plane a route back to Bangkok together so we have enough people around us," Porsche suggests and I know Vegas won't be happy to cooperate with Kinn. But it's the only way and he cares about protecting us more than about his bad relationship with his cousin.

"I agree," Vegas' look is unreadable by others, but I can see he is annoyed and worried at the same time. I grab his hand and press it lightly to reassure him about my presence, then I intertwine our fingers.
"We should leave soon, so they are still weakened by the death of their comrades. We should leave tomorrow morning. I would call for more of my people, but I think that would draw attention to us."
Kinn nodes as an approval.
"We have to do with people we have here now."
Everyone keeps quiet for a while. We are all a little worried. The silence is disturbed by a sudden knock on the door.
