Chapter 12 : A letter
Cedric and I are still going strong and it's Christmas eve. I woke up this morning and shoved on this and walked downstairs into the common room where Cedric was waiting for me so that I can go downstairs. I didn't go home this holiday for obvious reasons with my adoptive mom. Yeah, I admit I miss her a lot but she just pushed me over the edge. Cedric was really sweet and stayed with me so that I wasn't alone this Christmas but holly was staying as well. I spot Cedric sat on the yellow couch and i sneak up behind him. He catches me by surprise and grabs hold of my waist.
"How'd you know it was me?" i ask
"I heard you coming down the steps." he laughed as i pulled a face.
"Oh well, Breakfast time" i say and begin to pull him from the common room.
"somebody's hungry." he commented with a smile.
"They have pancakes." i say seriously and we both burst out laughing. We walked to the great hall and i stopped outside.
"Do you wanna give them a shock?" I ask
"Depends what type."
"Trust me?" i say and hold his hand
"Okay then." he said resignedly and i pulled him close
"Bet you like this."
"Like what?" he asked before i kissed him only that wasn't my plan to shock them.
"like that." i say as we pull apart."Only i think we'd better go to the kitchens."
"Why?"
"look up at the staff table." i say and he looks at uncle remus who i am still not talking to because of dumb reasons. He is mad! So is Snape, why would he be angry?
"Oh dear, lets go." he says and we break out into a run towards the kitchens before professor lupin could move.
"You do know that is not what i had in mind." i say once we had reached the interior of the kitchen.
"Well, it did shock somebody." he said and the house-elves gathered around with plates of food.

we left the kitchens about an hour ago and right now we were hiding in our common room from my godfather.
"So why is Lupin so over protective towards you?" asked Cedric
"Didn't i tell you?" i ask and he shook his head, "He's my godfather."
"Oh, that explains it." he said with a laugh
"Explains what?" i ask curiously
"The way he acts, but what's with Snape?"
"Snape? I dunno maybe he jut doesn't like PDA."
"Why?"
"Because he cant get a woman?" i suggest and he laughs, "But it could be true!" he laughs again
"where's holly? we should play truth or dare." he said
"Lets go and find her." i say but a owl taps on the window. "Ced, can you please let whatever is tapping on the window in?"
"Olivia, Its your owl."
"What!?!" i ask in disbelief and there was Venustas tapping on the window to be let in. I walk over to the window and open it wide enough to let her in. She held her leg out with the letter and i untied it and once i had done that she flew away. I unfold the letter and read it whilst Cedric sat down again. it said:
Olivia,
Okay fair enough! you win. I really miss having you around and if you still want to prove Sirius Black's Innocence that is fine by me. Just don't get hurt, I mean it. I would never forgive myself if you ever got hurt or worse than that. You are such a strong person and talented too, Please come down to my office so that we can talk this through. I never should have doubted you and i never will again. Please come and talk to me you are my god daughter and i miss talking to you.
Just hear me out?

by the end of the letter i had tears rolling down my face and Cedric noticed. he motioned to look at the letter but i just shook my head.
"I need to go talk to my Godfather." i say and he just nod his head. i walk alone out of the common room and towards his office. i get outside and hesitate a little before knocking.
"come in." he said sadly
I open the door and say "Uncle Rem?" and he looks up.
"Olivia?"
"you wanted to talk, right?"
"I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to yell. "
"No. I overreacted."
"You don't need to say that."
"Honestly i did. It was stupid to get mad at you. It's not you who should be sorry, its me so i'm sorry, Remus. I really am."
"I wasn't looking for an apology Olivia. I felt it was right to talk to you."
"Would you like to schedule Boxing Day? I know it would be a week until your transformation but yeah I'd like to see you."
"That would be great to see my god-daughter on Boxing Day. I did have plans on Christmas day to visit an old friend of mine."
"Okay, see you then." I say and leave the room with a slight spring in my step.

the rest of the day I spent with Cedric and holly it turns out had gone to hogsmeade on a last minute visit for presents. I went to bed that night anticipating Boxing Day that I would spend with uncle rem.
