chapter 18 : Remus is leaving
I was let out of the hospital wing the next day. I went to the Hufflepuff girls dorm and changed into this wanting to listen to the music that had been put onto the IPhone by my adoptive father. I then ran all the way down to Hagrid's where I was met by a very joyous Hagrid. "Olivia, He flew away! Beaky, flew off all on 'is own. been celebrating all night." he said overwhelmed with joy.
"That's great!" I say smiling at him knowing the truth.
"I know, I know. But did you hear?" he said
"Hear about what?" I say dreading what is coming next.
"Professor Lupin is a Werewolf and was out on the grounds last night. he's currently packing."
"What?!?" I say
"Yeah, he resigned first thing." he said
"I'm going to talk to him, he is my godfather after all." I say and Hagrid nods. I leave his hut and start running up to the castle, Ignoring anyone who called my name. I reach his office in about 1/2 an hour and knock 3 times on his door until I hear a faint "Come in" I walk in to see what Hagrid said was true. There were packing cases everywhere and he was sat by his desk studying a map of some sort.
"You're leaving then?" I ask
"Yes. I can't afford to have what happened last night to happen again." he replies
"But what about DADA classes?" I ask
"Is that your way of telling me you want me to stay?"
"Please Remus. Don't go, I need to be able to talk to you. I hated not talking to you in these past months." I say
"I have to leave before the owls start coming in telling the other members of staff that I am a danger to their pupils and what's more, I almost hurt my own goddaughter."
"But you didn't."
"The risk was enough, What if it happens again? I might hurt or kill you or somebody else."
"I Understand. I'm going to miss you."
"I can write to you."
"It's not the same." I say and give him a hug as Harry Potter walks in the room.
"Is it true?" he asks before seeing us have our little moment.
I let go of Remus and say "Please remember to write to me?" and he nods. "I'll just go then. See you later Godfather."
"Goodbye Olivia." he said
"No, not goodbye. It sounds like you're going away forever and I won't ever see you again, but I am going to, right?" I ask
"Yes you are. See you later Olivia." he says
"See you later, Remus." I say and leave the room. I place the headphones over my ears and put on one of my favorite songs called 'Dance with my father' I walk all the way to my common room undisturbed by anybody before Cedric appears. I pause the song and take the headphones off my head. "Cedric, I think we were better off as friends." I say and he nods.
"I was about to say the same thing. It's not that I don't like you cause I do it's just that you're my lil sis and I don't want to lose you." he says and I agree. It's been pretty boring without Cedric around and our relationship wasn't working anyway. I haven't kissed him properly so no loss really. I don't mean to sound mean but that's the way it is, I didn't lose anything when I broke up with Cedric. maybe my life will get back to normal now.
