Stefan and Damon decide on a new plan to deal with Katherine at the Lockwood's Masquerade Ball. Katherine calls on an old friend, Lucy, to attend the ball with her. Bonnie, Alaric, and Jeremy do what they can to help Stefan and Damon, but Katherine has a surprise planned that none of them could foresee. Things take an ugly turn when Matt and Tyler start doing shots with their friends.
At the boarding house, Damon held out a glass of blood to Caroline...
"Here."
"I'm still shaking." She tells him.
A few seconds later, Stefan walked in.
"What happened?" Stefan asked.
Caroline took a sip of the blood, signing softly.
"Go ahead, tell him. You're gonna love this."
"I saw Katherine today." She says.
"Where?" Asked Stefan.
"At the Grill. I just stopped by to just gawk... and quasi-stalk Matt." She says.
*Flashback...*
Caroline walked into the Grill, and she saw Matt...
She noticed that he'd noticed her, and she smiled.
"Do you need a table?"
"No, I... I'm not staying. I just needed to use the little girls' room."
*End of Flashback...*
"Skip the teen drama, and get to it."

Caroline walked into the girls' bathroom, and Ellie walked in...
"Ellie." Caroline says.
"Hey. I saw you with Matt. Are you okay?"
Caroline nodded.
"Yeah. Yeah. Whatever." Said Caroline.
Caroline was about to run out the door when Katherine stepped in front of it.
"You're good. What gave me away? Was it the hair, or was it my clothes?"
"I know Ellie's at... I know Ellie's at home."
