"You wanna be friends? Great. We're friends. Will you go now?"
"Look, I don't know what else to say to you. I came back to this town because I wanted a life. I wanted to exist where I could have friends and where I could build a family. If you haven't noticed, I've got that here. We can both have that." Stefan says.
Stefan's phone vibrated, and he pulled it out, seeing Ellie's name.
Ellie: "Stefan! Stefan."
Stefan: "Ellie, calm down. What's going on?"
Stefan stood up.
Ellie: "Jules just called me from Caroline's phone. Asking me how badly I want Caroline alive. She wants to know where Tyler is."
Stefan: "Jules?"
Tyler looked up at Jules' name.
Ellie: "Yes, Stefan. Jules."
Stefan: "She has Caroline."
Ellie: "Look, she's gonna give you a chance to fix this. Trust me, I don't trust her. They sent me a video, Stefan. She's in a cage, and they shot her. I'll send you it. One second."
Stefan's phone vibrated, and Ellie sent him the video.

"What's happening?" Tyler asked, looking at Stefan.
Ellie: "Stefan, they're gonna kill her. I can't lose her, Stefan; I can't."
Stefan: "Ellie, listen to me. You're not going to lose her, okay? I need you to calm down. Did she say anything else?"
Ellie: "Uh, yeah. She wants you to meet her with Tyler at the clearing by Wickery Falls. She said... she said you have 20 minutes."
Ellie hung up, and Stefan stared at Tyler.
Back with Damon, he was still at the Grill, and he sat at the bar...
"So my friend wants to meet you. Damon Salvatore, this is..." Jenna says.
"I know you. The news lady." He says, cutting Jenna off.
"Yeah, Andie Starr. Nice to meet you. Can I buy you a drink, Damon?"
Elena looked over at Damon to see him talking to a woman with Jenna.
"My glass is all full, Andie. Thank you." Damon says, walking over to Elena.
"You totally blew her off."
"I'm steering clear of all women at the moment." He tells her.
"You didn't have to be rude."
"Trust me, it's in the best interest of women everywhere." He says.
Elena's phone rang, and she saw Ellie's name.
"It's probably Ellie wondering where I am."
Elena: "Ellie? You okay? What is it?"
Elena's eyes widened, and she looked at Damon.
A few minutes later, Elena ran her hands through her hair...
"Why am I just finding out about this now?" He asked, staring at her.
"Stefan and Ellie were worried you'd...
"That I would what? Kill him? That's what needs to happen." He said, cutting her off.
"No, Damon, not Tyler. Do what you need to do to get Caroline back, but leave Tyler out of it, okay?"
"Why? He's a werewolf. He needs to die. I'm willing to kill. It's a win-win." He said.
"Please. Okay, too many people are dead."
"You need to stop doing that." He says.
"Doing what?"
"Assuming that I'll play the good guy because it's you who's asking."
