Burnstar stood on the top of Water Rock, the sun making his pelt glow. His clanmates stood at the bottom, looking up at him. He could feel the wind in his fur and remembered his meeting with Starclan as he got his nine lives. He had just got back from the Moonstone and it was time for him to name a deputy and he knew exactly who he would pick.
"I say these words before, so that the spirits of our warrior ancestors may hear and approve of my choice. The new deputy of Fireclan is Cursedfire." Burnstar raised his head to the sky, hoping Emberstar approves of his choice
Yowls of happiness rose from the clan and they raised their heads and yowled Cursedfire's name. Cursedfire walked up to Burnstar, bowing his head. Cursedfire looked down at his clanmates, feeling a strength he has never felt before.
"Thank you Burnstar." Cursedfire meowed. I've become deputy, I'm so close. Can you see me now Flamepaw, Inferno, Ashblade, Emberstar? I will make you all proud.
