The arrival of two mysterious strangers to Camelot marks the dawning of a new threat to the great kingdom. Will Merlin, Arthur, Gwen and Morgana find the courage to answer the call? Can they help their new friends to defeat a deadly foe and prove...
Night-time descended over the kingdom of Camelot like a shroud. The midnight sky was grey and cloudy with no sign of the moon or any stars. Glowing candles lit up the castle windows and every corner of town like the blank eyes of a great monster. A deathly silence hung in the air. Apart from the few guards who patrolled the town square, there was no-one about- and yet someone ( or something) was stirring in the shadowy trees which edged the path leading up towards the citadel...
With his ebony clock providing perfect camouflage against the darkness, a figure emerged from the trees and crept along the road. When the castle's portcullis was in sight, the man slipped behind a nearby tree and surveyed the sight that met his eyes.

Raven Of Old frowned as he observed the soldiers who stood on guard either side of the gate. Only hours earlier, those same knights had been the cause of his failure in delivering his all-important message to Uther. Still, he wasn't going to let one failed mission cloud his hopes that this mission could be completed. After all, Raven Of Old hadn't forgotten another of the many lessons that he'd taught all his young warriors during his time as protector of his homeland: "When there's a task to be done, don't let anything stand in your way, for doubt is a great enemy of any true warrior."
Once again, the teacher was learning from his students.
As silent as a cloud passing overhead, Raven Of Old crept a little closer towards the citadel gates. Then he found himself grinning. Set in the castle wall, well out of the guards' sight, was the very thing that he'd been looking for: a gate. Beyond it lay a set of tunnels which led directly under the castle. At least, Raven Of Old knew this for a fact it did because he'd explored those passages several times whilst he'd been living at Camelot during his youth. Now, his memories of those days were serving him well.
Raven Of Old couldn't keep the smile off his face as he reflected upon what had just happened. By following his own advice, he'd discovered a way by which he could enter the castle without any rousing suspicion. The big question now was how did he get in and, more importantly, where did he go once he was inside the castle?
In the distance, a clock struck midnight. Impulsively, both guards turned their gaze towards the sound. Even though such a noise was one that any knight was guaranteed to encounter during night-time patrols had evidently left these these two guards feeling unsettled. Perhaps they were still feeling on edge after their earlier encounter with Raven Old and feared that if they failed to remain on high alert, then another sorcerer would bring destruction upon the kingdom?
Anyway, this was the chance that Raven Of Old been waiting for! After stealing a quick glance over one shoulder, he hurried swiftly over towards the opening in the wall. Looking at it up close, he realised that the lock which held the gate in place wasn't securely fastened. Clearly, someone else had been making full use of this secret passage since Raven Of Old had last visited Camelot.
