skeet turner was the "freak" of hawkins high. he wore eyeliner, dressed in all black, loved van halen — and in the eyes of hawkins high, that meant he was a freak.
steve harrington was the king of hawkins high. he got all the girls, had the hair, and was beloved by everyone. everyone except skeet and his friends.
when a freak and a king are pushed together.

oooo. pretty much skeet gets framed for something steve and his friend's do, and although steve bullies skeet. steve still feels really bad and apologies profusely and ends up actually taking the hit.
oooo. skeet's only friend is eddie munson. the two are junior's who are the school's #1 hits. and despite all the "freaks", skeet is the #1 target because he is the only one who talks back.
oooo. skeet and steve were friends in elementary school because they lived beside eachother (they still do). so steve becoming a piece of shit is just even sadder.
oooo. skeet could not give a shit about anything.
oooo. his parents are filthy rich and his dad fucking hates him. but his mother is just not so supportive of the way he dresses and such.
oooo. he wants to be a rockstar.
oooo. he and steve work together at scoops eventually (the book starts in s2 - ).
oooo. skeet and dustin become friends eventually.
oooo. after nancy's whole drunk moment, steve is sobbing at his house and skeet sees him (he's outside smoking and they actually have a nice moment).
oooo. throws steve one of his guitar pics when he's performing and steve is just like in LOVE. (this is like his realization point).
oooo. i can totally see steve telling nancy about how he's in love with skeet like it's a full breakdown moment and although she doesn't really understand (it's the 80s people) she's supportive and tries to understand. idk i feel like since she's the only person he's ever really loved it would be such an important moment for him to come out of her on like his bedroom floor or something. but then she becomes their #1 stan.
oooo. robin can sense the gayness.
oooo. he sees steve's bat and that's like his only connection to the upside down until the s3 part.
oooo. idk why but i can see like since hopper's had to arrest him so many times (but his rich parents always get him out of it) he like hates him but at the same time hop secretly loves him and definitely stands up to his parents when his dad starts to beat him.
oooo. maybe his parents get arrested for something with their big company and he comes to live with hopper and eleven?
oooo. unlike steve, skeet can win any fight. he's great with any weapon of any sort. so maybe he swoops in and beats the shit out of billy or someone when he's trying to beat up steve.
oooo. he's always drawing on steve with sharpie, he also gets a million tattoos the moment he turns 18 but he has some illegal ones.
oooo. although he'll never admit it, he's really insecure in the fact that steve used to call him a freak (still does in the beginning). but it causes an argument when steve ducks when he sees his friends in public when he's with skeet. skeet is super upset and says something like "too scared to be seen with the freak, right?" and that leads to them not talking for awhile.
oooo. robin & skeet becoming bisexual boy & lesbian girl besties at scoops — yes pls!
oooo. nancy is one of the few people who actually tries to be nice to him. although he doesn't accept her pity in the beginning, they do end up becoming friends.
oooo. he does a stick and poke of steve's initials on himself.
oooo. dustin and will think he's super cool but everyone else tells them they're lame for thinking that.
