in which two childhood rivals
went in different directions in
life. only to go down the same road.

OR...

mullingar, ireland. the town called
home to many. including the horans
and the khannas. when the khannas'
moved to the small town in 1992,
with a small baby in their arms,
they were greeted warmly but their
neighbors, another family with a
little boy. then the next year, another
little boy. one that added a bit more
flavor to the story.

the little boy, niall horan, learned what
hatred was when he was five years old.
while his mother and the woman next
door were chatting on the back porch,
he made his way over towards the seven
year old girl who was playing with his
big brother. it was then that she laughed
at the brotherly rival joke made by his
big brother. something about how short
the little boy was. and that day, he
vowed to always despise the girl next
door.

wanted them to be together so much. fr
they have been plotting it for YEARS. made
them go to every dance together even tho
they hated eachother, family vacations,
etc. just always tried to scheme to get
them together. they want just want a
bunch of grand babies 😭😭

ooo. i think he kinda developed a crush
on her in his sophomore year (when they
were 15) but then he did the x factor and
she didn't see him again ever. he came home
for holidays and stuff obvs but she was always
off at college or on trips of stuff. but
he always secretly missed seeing her for
their little fights

ooo. they 100% went on a bowling double date
when they were like fifteen. she was asked
out by one of niall's popular friends and he
got super jealous and decided to tag along
with a random girl. "it's not my fault you
don't know how to throw a ball, horan."
"shut the fuck up." "come over and throw this
for me horan, maybe i'll finally
not get a strike. since you're so fucking
terrible at it." "you know what- screw
you!" and the other people just leave
because they're annoyed with niall
& mariah's constant words to one
another. they practically dismiss
the others being there.

ooo. pretty much niall comes home
to ireland for a summer or winter to visit
him mom and just come back to his
town. obviously the moms try and get
them together.

ooo. it's been years since they last
saw eachother and niall's literally in
awe of her

works most of her time.

insanely close. neither left ireland
and stayed very close friends. so they

to LA to work for awhile and mariah
freaks because she remembers he's gonna
be away from him just when she's starting
to not hate him.

ooo. he flys back to see her because he's
in love with her. and admits his love to
her

day for lunch (via his moms request
obvs) and all the ladies in the office
are sooooo jealous at her for that.
she's all mad at him at first but he
takes her out to lunch and they acc
have a nice time
