They all drop to the ruined ground exhausted but happy the plague known as Lucien has been eradicated.
"We actually did it," Sebastian lets out softly, still in shock himself.
"Yeah..." they all give a relieving sigh in unison.
Rosetta walks over to them, "Good work, and I was listening to what you and Arizona talked about in the office. That's why I recorded, no one will take your word that the King is dead without proof. Similarly, seeing that you're the ones that killed him, people will trust you more." She states in a serious tone rather than her usual lighthearted one.
"Wow, clearly someone has beaten me at thinking ahead, good call," Arizona applauds.
"I think we should head to a news station now, but there is one thing that should be confirmed first, who is going to be the new leader of this world that's probably going to be in more disarray now?" Rosetta asks.
"I want to go on dates, I want to sleep in, I want to work a normal job," Arizona randomly rants, sprawled out on the ground, "I don't want to be the one people come to for their problems anymore. I'll help with repairs, beat up bad guys if you need me, but I don't want more responsibility than that anymore. I still haven't lived."
"I can respect that," Rosetta nods then her eyes turn to Sebastian.
"I don't think replacing a monstrous vampire leader with another vampire leader is the best idea. I think Gutsy should be the new President, ruler, whatever it is now."
"Fuck no, and you should just do it cause you're a sap." Gutsy states clear cut, leaving no room for argument.
"I have someone who's really good at running things, but he's not up for ruling the country but he'll probably be good at giving you some tips." Renae chuckles.
"It's probably a mafia boss, me and all the hunters assumed you were associated with one," Gutsy reveals jokingly.
"You're not far off but he's a good guy." Renae tilts her head coyly. They all look at her with intrigue.
"Either way, I still don't think I can or should do this."
Poppy suddenly clasps Sebastian's hands, "my main objective for getting rid of Lucien was to create a world where vampires and humans can coexist. To stop all the unnecessary hate and killing. You were the boy my father helped at his restaurant many years ago, he knew you were a vampire, but you were just a boy to him. That's how I want the world to grow, and after knowing you Sebastian, I think you're the perfect person to make that happen." Poppy tells him with deep sincerity.
"I agree," Leann chimes in.
"Looks like the masses have spoken, big bro." Arizona smiles.
"Guess so," Sebastian sighs.
Josias starts whispering to Arizona, "when you were talking about going on dates, you meant with me right?"
"Duh," Arizona gives him a loving smile and his face goes red in return on his brown skin.
After walking for a bit from the ruined part of the city, the gang finally reaches a news station, appearing to be closed.
"We can try again in the morn-"
Boom! Rosetta kicks the door in with her lace up boots, "Now's not the time to be a goody two-shoes" Rosetta finds the light switch, starts configuring some wires and pressing some buttons. She takes out her camera and hooks it up to some system and it broadcast her footage across tv's.
"She plays by her own rules, I like it," Leann says.
Everyone across the country witnesses the battle, the vampire village known as Cedar Valley where the twins and Sandra are, and Tucker's wife and kid, all cry tears of joy. Poppy's dad in his rebuilt restaurant eyes go wide seeing his daughter smack in the middle of battle. In a bar, a guy cleaning a glass, that resembles Sebastian in the face and body, but his short red hair has white streaks through it. Eyes blue like Marcy's looking wide at Sebastian on the bar tv. I have to find out who that is.
