After watching the chaos, he caused, Lucien had put Casey to the test.

The door to Poppy's personal prison slowly creeps open with Casey walking through, her father trailing behind her.

"Today is special, my dear Poppy. I'm going to have Casey torture you while I watch. It's going to be fun."

Casey picks up a huge knife strongly laced with Vervain and Poppy fakes anger towards her as she's stabbed repeatedly. She truly feels an ounce of pity for her not she deserves it.

"Ah," Poppy continues to shout in immense pain. Her insides feeling like flames that won't burn out.

Lucien starts checking the meals Casey brings Poppy to make sure there isn't any blood of any kind.

Casey is allowed to go to Poppy alone and slides the tray to her. Casey holds her wrist out to Poppy.

And with just her eyes, she asks, "are you serious?" as she chews on a muffin.

"Well, those stabs earlier certainly did hurt." Poppy expresses her grievances before sinking her fangs in Casey's wrist.

"Ngh."

For a vampire, her blood actually doesn't taste too bad.

Poppy sinks her fang further into her wrist and sips to her heart's content. She pulls Casey closer to her by the arm, holding her in her lap and sinks her fangs into her neck.

Crunch.

Poppy's fangs refuse to leave Casey's neck, making Casey shudder a little. Poppy eventually stops herself.

Poppy apologizes by nodding.  Her red eyes changing back to her normal hazel as Casey moves to sit across from her as Casey's neck heal on its own.

"Hey, are you in love with the slayer?" Casey questions matter-of-factly.

Poppy nearly chokes then starts chuckling.

"For a time, I was in love with him. I still love him, it's just in a different way now." Poppy reveals soft-spoken. "But that was so random."

"Vamps crave blood but crave it more from someone they love. I was just wondering if you'd be able to control yourself around the slayer. Not that you'll probably survive this." Casey states blankly.

"Yeah, I'm still a new vamp but I don't think I could ever hurt Gutsy. Not to mention he'd kill me if I tried."

Casey nods in understanding and lets Poppy continue to enjoy her food alone.

Thwack, pow, boom, splat. Incomplete vamps are being kicked with jaw-breaking force. Punched into the brick walls and sliced and diced. Leann's whole body is covered in grime and blood, and her feet feel like bricks after days of fighting for her life.

"Ah," she takes a breath, clenching her knife tight.

"Agh," she yells as another horde comes at her.

Clap, clap, clap, Lucien's snow-white hands give a round of applause approaching the cell.

Thump, Leann drops the body, pulling her knife out of a vamp's heart.

All of the vamps halt in their movements.

"If you keep killing all the vamps, Leann. I won't be able to make soldiers and the longer you'll be in here."

"Oh goodie, I'm doing society a favor. Now fuck off." Leann sticks the middle-finger up at him, even shocking him a little when she used to tremble at the sight of him. "Now how bout we do another favor for society, and you hop in this cell." Leann dastardly smirks.
