Song, Africa by: Weezer

As I was about to teleport back someone pulled me into a hug. It was Lila.
We were all upstairs. I was sitting in a chair, counting the lights.
"So, how is it that we're still here, but the whole of the universe is going down the cosmic shitter?"
"Maybe we're the last to get flushed."
"Wasn't talking to you."
"Hey, has anyone seen Klaus?"
"Or Dad?"
"They'll be here."
"Really? Did they... Hit traffic? Look, people, we're alive because we're special, right? We're the only ones who can save the universe."
"Uh, question."
"Yes."
"Didn't we just try that and fail miserably?"
"Yeah, it's because his plan was stupid."
"Mm."
"I got a better one."
"Course you do."
"We go with the large hard-on particle accelerator. You guys do some science, and... We launch the Kugelblitz into outer space. Y/n, you in?"
"Out. I'm tired of saving the world, it's ending, Diego. Just accept it, I already have." I said standing up. I walked downstairs to the bar, I made the bourbon bottle appear in front of me. I tried to chug the whole bottle.
I teleported back and sat in the same chair. Luther and Sloane were smiling, I gave them a weird glance then sipped my bourbon.
"Oh, what the hell. We've, uh, got a little announcement to make. We're engaged!"
"Kill me, Jesus."
"Idiots."
"Now?"
"What the hell? I was gone for 2 minutes." I looked at Luther and Sloane.
"Yeah. Look, we realize the timing is less than ideal. But, obviously, it's now or never. Am I right, Five?"
"Don't drag me into this, please."
"What-- whatever time we have left, we wanna spend it with all of you."
"Even you, N/n."
"So we're super pumped if you would join us in the banquet hall at 6:00 p.m. for a celebration of our love, and the official union of what's left of our two great families."
"Dress code is creative black-tie."
Sloane chuckled. I rolled my eyes as I drank my bourbon. I saw Ben drinking a flask, "switch me, Benvolio."
He handed me the flask as I gave him the bottle. Sloane handed me an antique.
I looked up and saw Klaus.
"Dad?"
"Klaus!"
"Hey."
"Oh, thank God."
"Gather 'round, children. Quickly now!"
"I don't know you, grandpa." I said, drinking the flask. Lila sat next to me.
"The hell have you been?"
"Oh, Reg and I. We got tangled up in a whole father-son-end-of-the-world road trip kinda thing. You know?"
