I hear the bell ring. “Taylor, Adam definitely likes you! You can date Adam and I can date Dustin! That’s perfect right?” I tell Tay. I am so excited.  She glares at me. ”What makes you think I want Adam. Dustin is mine. I gave him my number. We are becoming friends.”  I apologize to her I just thought she would agree with me.

The week flies by I sit with Adam and Taylor sits with Dustin.  I start to become good friends with Adam. Taylor has been telling me her and Dustin text all the time. In English class Mr. Worth hands a paper out informing us that the Fall Formal is coming up. I don’t have a date, I hope Adam asks me.  I wonder if he will.  Taylor and I always go to the dance together, so if we don’t get a date we will be sure to go together. Its Tuesday and the dance is in 10 days. We decide to go dress shopping after school. We decide on going to the mall. At lunch I go to sit with Adam. “Hey gorgeous,” he tells me. I am getting used to his sweet remarks.  We talk about our classes. We talk about the evil Miss Carenty. “Are you excited for the dance next week?” He asks me. “I am so excited but I don’t have a date,” I tell him. He looks at me shocked “You Allie Grant don’t have a date to the dance?” He asks looking genuinely surprised. ”No, I don’t. I am not a girl the guys all fancy. If you haven’t noticed I am kind of a spaz,” I giggle. “You are not a spaz! You are so funny and gorgeous and any guy would be lucky to have you.” I smile at him. We talk some more and then the bell rings. I wave goodbye to Adam and then I head to my locker.

 “Allie, I need to talk to you now!” Taylor screams. I look at her confused. “What’s up?” I ask her. “I’ll call you tonight. I will tell you on the phone. I can’t believe this,” she says angrily. I walk to class and take my seat next to Adam. We talk about the dance.  “Adam and Allie you can flirt with each other on your own time.” Mr. Marco( our history teacher) yells.  Adam writes a note to me MEET ME IN THE PLAYGROUND AT 3:30. I smile at him to assure him I will be there.

After school I go to my locker and tell Taylor I am going to meet Adam so call me later.  When I get there Adam isn’t there, but there is a pink note. I open it MEET ME IN THE TUNNEL SLIDE the note says. I run there giggling. He is so stupid. I slide down and there is another note. MEET ME AT THE SWINGS<3. I laugh some more and run to the swings. There is another note. I THINK YOU HAVE HAD ENOUGH FUN THIS IS THE LAST ONE MEET ME AT THE TIRE SWING. I run there and he isn’t there. The note says LOOK FOR ME UP IN THE SKY. I laugh and look up. I feel someone grab my waist. I spin around and Adam hands me one last pink note. I laugh and open it WILL YOU BE MY DATE TO THE FALL FORMAL BEAUTIFUL. I look at him and hug him. “Is that a yes?” Adam asks me. I nod my head. “I was so nervous,” he tells me. “You asked me in the most adorable way,” I tell him. He smiles. We talk a little more and I walk home.

At home I talk to my dad and mom about school. We are really close. I told my mom about Adam and how he asked me to the Fall Formal. I at dinner and then I went to my room and waited for Taylor to call. We texted for a few minutes.

ME: OMG TAYLOR YOU WILL NEVER BELIEVE WHO ASKED ME TO THE FALL FORMAL!

TAYLOR: I ALREADY KNOW HE TOLD ME HE WAS GONNA ASK YOU!

ME: ADAM TOLD YOU?!?

TAYLOR: WAIT WHAT ADAM ASKED YOU??? DUSTIN IS GONNA ASK YOU?

ME: CALL ME ASAP I AM SO LOST!

Taylor calls me. “You’re going to the dance with Adam?” Taylor asks. “Yes, I am! What are you talking about with Dustin?” I ask her.  “He really likes you. He was going to ask you to the Fall Formal, but I guess Adam beat him to it. I sit there shocked Dustin likes me. I thought he liked Taylor. I like him too! “I have an idea. Why don’t you make Dustin jealous there is nothing better than a jealous guy.” I laugh. Taylor is a genius. “Don’t you like Dustin though?” I ask Taylor. “Of course I do I have dibs remember?” she says. I wonder what this girl is up to now. Who cares soon I will have Dustin begging at my knees for me and then he will ask me out. I can easily say yes. Taylor is a genius

Taylor’s pov

Yes! My plan worked perfectly. Adam asking Allie just adds to it. Allie is going to make Dustin think she likes Adam and then Dustin will beg for her. Allie will Dustin to ask her out, but I will convince him she likes Adam. Then I will get to date Dustin. Allie is my best friend, but I will always have dibs. Let the games begin. Adam and Allie are just players in my little game. When I get Dustin, Allie and I can go back to being best friends. LET THE LOVE GAMES BEGIN!
