My eyes slowy flutterd opened to a bright light in my surroundings. I allowed my hands to graze the soft bedding below me and push up to search the area. The large bedroom was vaguely familiar. Meant for a wealthy guest with grand silk curtains and marble floors covered by a blue rug. I searched around a while and then turning to the door. The flat surface, I pushed at and to no avail did it open.
Trying everything in my power to do so it was no more use and stepped back, flustered. How dare they keep me locked in here! Had he seen me already and demanded for me to be locked up hear? He was most likely an angry man by now, and his anger probably clouded his judgment and made him look so hideous.
I sat back on my bed, huffing, then closed my eyes feel the tears brim, I couldn't be here, this had to be a nightmare and obviously it wasn't. The door opened and I felt my heart pucked up speed praying it wasn't Thranduil and to my relief it wasn't and only Feren, my old friend.
"Feren! Its so good to see you." I jumped up taking him in my arms to hug him tightly and when he hugged me back it was so comforting like time never changed and we had only seen each other a week ago.
"What happened? Where are my friends?" I asked pulling away as he sent me a warm smile.
"You tell me what happened? You looked very sick when you arrived and as for.... the dwares that you were with?" Feren asked making a discusted face.
I rolled my eyes. "Yes them! Where are they?" I demanded tearing away from him.
"You don't have to worry. They are in the dungeons." He said, that once kind seemed changed and judgmental.
"As if thats any better?" I said with sarcasm lacing my tone.
"I promise you... those gastly creature friends of yours will be fine."
I scoffed but and refused to look at him anymore. He had become poisoned by this air surrounding the palace.
"(Y/n)..." he took my hand in his and placed something on the inside of my palm.
"What?" I glare and he only smiled then I allowed my self to look on in amazement. In my hands was a necklace with a crystal hanging off the end of it. It glowed of purple and white. There was the smallest hint of pink in there aswell.
A gasp hovered past my lips and ever so gently traced a finger over it, scared if I were to rough it wold shatter, like my heart.
"Oh my..."
A tear slip loose from my eye. The necklace was special to me. It was given to me by Thranduil himself as a promise. A promise to which he broke, where he said that we would always be by each other's sides. But to my dismay, the day of the wedding I had thrown it off some balcony at the highest part of the castle watching it disappear into the gardens.
I glanced back up at Feren and smiled. "You had it all this time?"
He looked down blushing, shyly. "Indeed I have... I found it two days after you left. I was stupid not to give it back to you after so long. I'm sorry."
"Dont be mellon nin." I said placing a hand on his cheek. "I am very thankful you gave it to me now."
A sudden thought came to mind and I froze remembering where I was and removed my hand from his face. That calme feelinf leaving.
"Is... is he here?" I hesitantly asked hoping he was in another kingdom in a long meeting and wouldn't be back for another two months.
Feren nodded. "Yes... I told him that you were here... but he refuses to believe that it's really you." Feren said.
I frowned. This was the moment I have been dreading all my life. I really didnt want to see him again. It would only hurt more but I knew I had no choice.
I turned to Feren. "Take me to him."
