"All I know is that we said Hello, and your eyes looking like coming home..."

When Steven and Cameron first met they were ten.The Dall's came down from Florida for a couple days. So after greeting her Aunt Susannah and her friend Laurel, she ran outside to see her cousins.

"Jere!" The curly haired girl spoke, engulfing him in a hug.Jeremiah instantly hugged her back while picking her up and giving her a small spin.

"Hey bug!" He smiled at her. Bug was her childhood nickname, when Cameron was younger you could always find her playing with some type of insect.

"Hey, what about me? You're hogging her, move" Another voice spoke up. Cameron turned around and noticed Conrad standing by the pool with his hands in his pocket and a smile on his face.

"Connie!" she laughed before running to give him a hug also.The oldest Fisher welcomed her with open arms.

Cameron was so entranced with her cousins she didn't even notice the two kids standing by the pool. One looked at her with curiosity and the other in awe.

Now when Steven first saw Cameron his body immediately froze up. His palms began to sweat and his cheeks turned bright red.'Holy shit' he thought to himself when he saw her running towards Jeremiah.

"Why do you look constipated?" a voice whispered, breaking him out of his trance.

Steven's eyes snapped down to his sister who had a confused expression on her face."Shut up Belly" he whispered harshly. The small girl put her hands up in defense while widening her eyes "Alright alright jeez".

Steven just rolled his eyes at his sister before setting his gaze back on the curly hair beauty that was in front of him. He bit his lip as he tried to hear what the trio was talking about.

When Cameron pulled away from Conrad she immediately started talking "Oh my god, i've missed you so much. I have a lot to tell you starting with school.Remember that guy I was telling you about? Well I got invited to this party and he was also going, so you know me obviously I was freaking out. Anyway I wore this blue dress, it was really cute. I think I got it from Hollister. So I go to the party everythings fine..great even and then I go to the bathroom.And you wanna know what happens" she paused for a millisecond before speaking up again "I come back to find him locking lips with Alice Cummings. Alice Cummings! Can you believe that! I mean we were going to get married. I wrote about it in my diary Connie my Diary. And you know not just anyone makes it in there"

"Cammy you literally write in your diary about every boy you meet" Jeremiah cuts her off, but she only responds with a head shake

"No you don't understand guys he was the one.I could feel" it she says reassuringly but the two brothers just look at each other and laugh

"Cam you're so boy crazy, it's not even funny"

"Wh-what?! Me boy crazy" she laughed "I am not"

Conrad went to speak when a cough interrupted him. The trio turned towards the noise, and that's when Cameron finally noticed the pair of siblings that were standing there awkwardly.

"Oh yeah" Jeremiah piped up "Cameron this is Isabel and Steven Conklin, but we call Isabel 'Belly' for short" he said pointing to the pair "Guys this is Cameron but we call her 'Cammy' or 'Cam' for short. He said pointing towards Cam

Silence took over the group as Cameron,Isabel, and Steven looked at eachother. Belly stared with a smile on her face, Steven stared with his eyes slightly wide, and Cameron stared with her eyes narrowed. The two brothers looked at each other with concern, it didn't seem like Cameron liked Belly and Steven that much. But their concern was quickly washed away when a smile spread across Cameron's face.

Cameron made her way towards the Conklin siblings and wrapped her arm around Belly and Steven's shoulders.Steven's mouth fell ajar as her skin made contact with his.

"Hi I'm cam" she gushed excitedly at the siblings, she turned to Belly with a smile

"This is great! Now I'm not the only girl" she squealed "So..how do you feel about boys" she finished leading Belly away from the Fisher boys and the oldest Conklin.

"Dude you can close your mouth now" Conrad spoke, lifting up his finger to close Steven's jaw. Jeremiah let out a laugh while Steven hit Conrad's hands away

"Shut up"

As time moved forward the group of kids found themselves relaxing by the pool.The sun had just set and the back porch lights had turned on. Cameron was sitting next to Steven, who Jeremiah insisted she had to sit by. But she didn't mind, she had taken a liking towards the boy. He never failed to make her laugh, and let's just say after a couple of hours in Cousin's she already had a small crush on the boy.

She liked how his raven black hair would fall into his eyes and how he would give her a boyish grin.Cameron had just met him and he made all the other guys she had crushed on seem like trash. Steven would definitely be the topic of discussion in tonight's diary entry.

"Okay okay Orange juice or Apple juice?" Conrad questioned

"Apple"

"Apple juice" 

Jeremiah and Belly spoke at the same time, they both looked at each other and laughed.Steven looked at Cameron and waited for her to answer

"Orange" Cameron stated confidently. At her response Steven quickly sputtered out the same answer "Ye-yeah me too.Orange juice, I love orange juice" he let out a forced chuckle.

Cameron smiled at him and gave him a high five,while Jeremiah,Conrad,and Belly gave him weird looks.

"But you hate Orange juice" Belly started looking at her broth confused "you always say people who prefer orange juice over apple juice are dumb and should be thrown in an insane asylum."

Conrad and Jeremiah laughed because Belly outed the boy, and Steven just shot Belly a stern glare.

"Didn't you pee the bed last week" he sneered trying to take the attention off of him. At that Belly's cheeks darkened and her eyes moved down to her hands in embarrassment.

"Hey that's not nice Steve" Cameron spoke making the boy even more embarrassed

"Wait, did you just call him Steve?" Jeremiah's eyes showed confusion and a hint of amusement.

"Yeah. I realized everyone had a nickname but him. I'm Cam, your Jere. Conrads Connie, and Isabel is Belly.So now Stevens steve."

"What if he doesn't want that to be his nickname?" Jeremiah counteracted

Cameron turned towards Steven and gave him a smile that made his pulse almost stop, "You don't mind that I call you Steve right Steven"

The boy shook his head in trance, "You can call me whatever you want" he whispered dreamily

"What?"

"Nothing."

"When we called you Steve you freaked out." Conrad pointed out

"Yeah well that was different" Steven stated

"How?"

"It just is Conrad" he replied, annoyed at his friends
