Cheater (001 love story)

010- Lover

It was Monday and I had to get to work except I couldn't move. Peter had his arms wrapped around me. It was something nice to wake up to but I was going to be late. After another minute or so his eyes opened, beautiful blue, they reminded me of the ocean.

"Goodmorning dear" Peter spoke hugging me tighter

"Goodmorning..I have to get ready for work"

"Ugh" he kissed my forehead "Ok, I'll go make you some toast Tiffy" He stood up then left the room so I could get ready. I showered, put my Family Video outfit on, applied some makeup, and fixed my hair, then went to the dining room for some food.

"Your toast, my queen" Peter sat a plate of toast down in front of me while he had an omelet across from me.

"Thank you"

After we finished breakfast I kissed Peter goodbye and left. He was going to bring me lunch during work for some reason, maybe he still feels sorry.

"Hey guys! So any information about Eddie?" I asked Steve while walking behind the counter

"No. I'm pretty sure he left town"

"How are you and Peter?" Robin spoke from behind one of the shelves

"Good, real good actually. Murray helped a lot"

"Great" she replied

I heard Steve mumble something behind me.

"What?" I asked

"Nothing just this person has yet to return 5 tapes"

"Hate to be them" I laughed

We began restocking and organizing everything from last week which wasn't much work but it was boring. At least I get paid to hang out with my friends and watch the street all day.

"If Peter comes in here Friday after I leave can y'all cover for me?" I asked

"And risk being killed? No" Steve laughed

"Love you too Steve"

"Wait, what's happening Friday?" Robin spoke turning around from the shelf

"I am going to find Eddie"

"Yeah good luck, we have searched everywhere" Steve responded

"He loves me right?" I asked looking at Robin

"I'd say he's obsessed" she laughed

"Ok..so why would he hide from someone he loves? I go to him when something bad happens Eddie wouldn't have hid so well to the point where even I couldn't find him"

"I love that theory but Tiff, when Steve says they have been everywhere he isn't lying"

"But she has a point Robin"

"Thank you Steve!"

"Who is going with you? Isn't everyone busy?" Robin questioned

"I'm going alone"

They both nodded and we finished restocking. The rest of the day was filled with sarcastic statements from all of us and deep conversations about our relationships. It was like this the rest of the week. Robin helped me come up with ideas of where Eddie might be. On Wednesday Steve and Dustin brought in a map of Hawkins so we could mark where they went to find him. Max doesn't believe Eddie left town because his van is still here..in fact that means he drove home that night and left from his house. It was Friday morning and the amount of anxiety was horrible. I acted like everything was normal even though I may not succeed in finding Eddie. I was happy when I left for work because I was gone before Peter woke up so there was no chance he could read my thoughts. When I walked through the door at work I took the mask off and let it out. Robin comforted me in a hug while Steve got me tissues, they calmed me down and assured me I would find him. This wasn't any day at work, this was preparation. I was watching the clock all day and coming up with a highly detailed plan. I was going to go to my house, I was going to follow my escape route. I watched and as the clock hit the precise time I left the store. I had to leave my car there to keep things disguised so Dustin brought me his old bike to give me a way for travel instead of walking. I put a bandana on to cover my face so I wouldn't be recognized by Peter when riding past my house. Nothing was at my house, I went to the outside of the window, nothing was there so I went to Eddie's house. I went inside and looked at everything, it was the same. No clues of where he could be. His guitar was still there! I remembered he had his window unlocked for me so I went around the house to check it out and what did I find..it was a piece of paper folded in the shape of a heart and taped to the window. I opened it...

'Tiffany I assume you're the one reading this and that something happened with Peter. I know you're good at figuring things out so here is a hint...I love you..that was the hint. If you don't figure it out I am sorry, just know I will return one day.

"I love you" I whispered to myself thinking out loud.

The O was shaped like a wonky heart, the paper was too, heart. Okay so the hint was a heart. I was walking around his house and got my white shoes muddy due to a puddle. I looked down and it was in the shape of the wonky heart.

Water and heart. Lovers Lake? Of course it's Lovers Lake. I rode the bike there as quickly as I could. It started to rain and by the time I got to my destination it was pouring. I walked around the lake in search of him until I came across this cabin. I looked inside and saw it was abandoned. I went to the shed and searched it..Eddie had to be here. I tried going inside the house before but it was locked. When I left the boat house I saw a window was broken so I crawled through. I got my flashlight out since it was pitchblack..I stepped on a beer can. It was fresh.

"Hello? Is anyone here?" no response

When I turned to go into the kitchen someone grabbed me by the waist and cover my mouth. I was trying to free myself and eventually they stopped.

"Peter!" I turned around and saw who it was. My eyes widened. "Eddie.." I began to cry as he brought me into a hug.

"Shhh...it's ok..I'm sorry I didn't mean to. I'm here now, you're safe princess"

We stood there for a minute not letting go of each other

"What happened?" He asked still holding me

"You went missing for a month, I had to find you." He hugged me tighter

"I'm found now, I'm ok."

"Please promise me you won't leave again" I asked pulling away from him

"I promise"

"Let's go home now, ok?"

"Beer first" he laughed

"Deal" I laughed walking to the bike

We walked back to his house, drove to get some beer, talked for a while then I gave him one last hug.

"I love you Tiffany, I always will" I heard as I was getting on the bike

"I love you too Eddie..but don't tell Peter"

"You're secret is safe my love"

I smiled then went back to Family Video, got in my car and drove home.

"Peter, I'm back!'

"Tiffany!" He welcomed me with a hug. "I made dinner for us, soup"

"Smells lovely" I smiled, kissing him then sat in the dining room.

Peter brought my bowl of soup and sat beside me.

"How was your day?" I asked

"I was good, lonely but good. Yours?"

"I- it was good..umm I found Eddie"

"You're pregnant" He spoke instantly

"I'm sorry, what?! That's impossible" I stuttered

"It isn't, I know you are, I sensed it Tuesday morning."

"Why did you not tell me sooner? Oh my, we are going to be parents..."

"Yes!" He hugged me gently. "Are you not excited?"

"I am really.. just shocked" also I was in love with Eddie...this won't end well I'm afraid.

"Why don't we go to sleep? It's getting late anyways. Might process it better tomorrow."

I agreed and followed him upstairs. I decided to sleep in his room tonight, so I had someone to talk to before I fell asleep. He held me so gently in his arms and assured me everything would be ok. I had no idea how to be a parent, I have to call Steve tomorrow and figure that out after I make a trip to the doctors of course. What is Eddie going to think? What if Peter finds out I love Eddie? I don't want to be in love with Eddie, I need Murray. After a while of repeating these thoughts in my head I was able to fall asleep.
