Chapter 8

The next morning, I actually wake up to my alarm on time, surprisingly. I get up, dressed, and I grab my morning coffee. Matilda had already made eggs and toast for breakfast and she had a plate laying out for me. "Wow, aren't you just the cook?" I say laughing.
"Yes ma'am I am."
We both laugh. "Thank you Matilda, this is so good."
"Yeah, of course girl, anytime."
We both sit down and eat our breakfast in silence for a couple minutes. We usually can never last without talking. "So, what are you doing after work?" She asks me.
"Well, I haven't really made any plans but my boyfriend told me he would see me today, so I am guessing we might plan something later together. What about you?"
"Yeah, same. I was gonna go somewhere with my boyfriend but he said he might be busy with friends after work. He said we could maybe hangout tonight though." We both continue to talk about our days and she asks me if I want to plan a girls night with her. "So, would you want to have a girls night Julie? Like just the two of us? It would be so fun!"
"Yes, I would love to Matilda." We both smile.
"Shoot look at the time."
"Crap, I better go." It was almost nine and I give Matilda a hug goodbye. "See you later girl!"
"See you!"
I rush out the door and drive to work. I head in my office and I am surprised my boss hasn't walked by. A guy I work with walks toward me. "Hey Juliet, Cat is actually sick today, thank goodness." "Really?! Yes I am so glad." I say loudly. We both laugh and he walks away. I am honestly so relieved my boss isn't here because she always has an attitude toward me. I pull out my laptop and start writing my news story for the day/week.

A couple hours later, I had finished interviewing, writing, and editing my news story. I start to write more in my romance novel and I realize that I still have many more chapters to write. But, I don't stress about it and I keep writing. I check my phone and notice that I have several messages from Sebastian.

Sebastian: Hey, Julie.
Sebastian: How is your day today? Did you sleep well?
Sebastian: Have you eaten today? I could bring you by some Chinese food on my lunch break.
Sebastian: Sorry, I may have texted too much. I'm sorry love.

Holy. He texted the sweetest things ever. I feel so bad that I haven't answered him. I text him back.

Juliet: Hey, I am so sorry. I was busy writing my news story and my novel. But oh my goodness, Sebastian it is okay! You are the sweetest ever oh my gosh. Thank you, thank you, thank you. My day is going great, I slept pretty well and I actually woke up to my alarm clock this time. I have eaten yes, but only breakfast.
Sebastian: It's okay beautiful, I was just thinking about you a lot haha. That is great gorgeous.
Juliet: Thank you so much. And I absolutely love Chinese food by the way.
Sebastian: That's great because I am on my way with it right now.

Ahhh he is amazing. I quickly use the restroom and head back in my office. I hear a ding from my phone and see that Sebastian texted.

Sebastian: Hey! I am here beautiful.

I honestly think Chinese food is gonna be our go to food together.

I walk out of my office and see him walk out of the elevator. "Hey! I didn't think you knew where to go." I say.
"I thought I would get lost, but nope. I found my way here pretty easy actually." Sebastian says handing me the bag of Chinese food.
"Oh, you got me noodles, my favorite."
"I had a feeling you loved noodles." He says laughing.
"Well, thank you so much again Sebastian."
"Yes, anytime beautiful." He says kissing me on the cheek.
"I have like 30 more minutes of my lunch break if you want me to stay here and eat with you."
"I would love that." I say smiling big.
