"CUT!"
James lowered the fake gun and holstered it as he left the scene. He always felt an adrenaline rush while filming scenes as Red during gun fights, knowing he was likely the most tactical and smartest character he's ever portrayed.
His phone rang, "Spader." He answered.
"That's a new way of answering." Beck smiled as she spoke to him on the phone. "Ah haha, I'm sorry I didn't even glance at who was calling." James laughed and smiled at the sound of her voice.
It had been a month now since Beck was last on screen as Joey and James and her had started dating privately since that day at her house when they professed their love for one another.
"I'm headed out to an audition right now, I can bring you by some lunch if you'd like." Beck said, prepping some food for herself in the kitchen. "I'd love that." James responded. "You know where to find me." He said before hanging up. Beck never did understand why James never said goodbye or seemingly finished a conversation before just hanging up the phone. She thought it was just a "Raymond Reddington" habit he picked up.
She prepped a small lunch for herself and him and brought it to the studio for him.James saw her entering the lot and smiled as he walked over excitedly.
He hugged her and pecked her on the cheek as they still hadn't openly told anyone about their relationship. It was more of a fast paced wild fling and they worried people would judge.
"My love" he whispered towards her as he grabbed the bagged lunch she made. "Hey handsome." She whispered back, smirking.
"I'm off to Brooklyn for the audition, I'll text you afterwards." She said. James nodded after biting into his sandwich.
She walked off without another word. Sometimes pretending to not be too close in public is painful for her. She wants to show the world that big girls get the guy too but she respects his wishes to keep everything private as he doesn't want things to become scandalous.Later that day, Beck comes home from the audition and texts James. "Don't think I landed the role but just glad to get my name and headshot on their desk." She sent. "Roles will come once the season premieres. You do an excellent job with Joey." James sent back. "Thanks ❤️" Beck responds.
She laid up in bed that night speaking to Gina on FaceTime.
"I'd love to live with him but Nathanael has no clue."
"Yeah maybe it's best for now but why wouldn't he know?" Gina asked.
"Um, why would the kid need to know that his father is hooking up with a co worker...right after his parents split." Beck responded.
"No, he's DATING his co STAR" she put emphasis on her words to show to Beck that she meant something.
"I don't know if I would say dating."
"I would." Gina puckered her lips and rolled her eyes at Beck, demanding she give herself more credit.
"Sure ya'll sleep together but you told me he said he loves you."
"Post nut clarity..."
"Rebecca, come on now, bitch. He clearly has feelings for you but the dude is compulsive and odd so if anything, he ain't gon say nothing he ain't mean. You're the one who said he ain't talk in absolutes."
"He doesn't, they make him anxious."
"See? Like who would know something like that!? A wifey. A girlfriend. You." Gina said, empowering Beck.
Beck sighed and looked around her room solemnly before breaking out in a small giggle. "Okay Harley Quinn, spit it out now." Gina said, pointing out that odd mood swing of Beck's.
"At least I have TVs in my house. This man has NONE."
"Oh lord how you gon watch the Blacklist without TV?" Gina mocked.
"Bitch shut up, I got the Blacklist right in that house. Reddington, Spader and Mr Grey all in one." Beck smirked, licking her lips slightly.
"Don't go all horny on me now." Gina laughed, seeing Beck get excited over the thought of James.
