Amelia stared at Peter dumbfounded. She could not believe his response to Rachel's question, what he had just agreed to. Lunch with Rachel? Instead of her?

Amelia looked forward and didn't say anything the rest of the way to her room. Peter took notice of her quietness and sent a curious look her way. She didn't return his gaze.

When they made it to her room she closed the door behind her and laid on her bed.

Amelia had no thoughts running through her head. Just a reverberating pulse that sent pain through her mind.

She didn't greet the orderly that brought her food, and she barely ate any of her lunch.

She was picking at her food when Dr Brenner knocked on her door.

"Amelia?" Dr Brenner's muffled voice called out.

"Come in." Amelia huffed and sat up.

Dr Brenner opened the door and peaked in. "You seem to be in a sour mood."

"Yeah. No shit Sherlock." She mumbled crossing her legs.

"Amelia!"

Amelia sighed and look down. "Sorry father."

After a few moments Dr Brenner sat next to her and spoke up. "Is it Peter?"

Amelia nodded. "He said yes to lunch with Rachel."

"I see, and how did that made you feel?"

"Like shit." She stated laying her head on her fathers shoulder.

Dr Brenner didn't bother to correct her this time. "I'm sorry, Amelia."

"It's fine. When do I start training?" Amelia asked, changing the subject.

"Any time you'd like." Her father smiled.

"Tomorrow?" She tilted her head.

"I'm sure we can make tomorrow work." Brenner nodded. "Finish your lunch, I'd like to show you
something."

Amelia watched her father stand up from her bed and leave the room. She looked down at her food and sighed.

After finishing the bland food she got up and went to find her father.

He was waiting for her by one of the entrances of the rainbow room. "Are you ready?" He asked.

"I don't quite know what I am supposed to be ready for, father."

"Just follow me and you will see, my dear." Dr Brenner said, starting to walk down a hallway.

Amelia followed her father blindly. She followed him to the elevator that took them to the top floor of the facility.

She's never been past the third floor. Which was when she was being acclimated to being underground. So to say it has been awhile, is a severe understatement.

Amelia clutched the railing in the elevator as she rediscovered her fear of small spaces. Her father took note of her fear and bargained with himself to explore her memories about it later.

When the elevator finally stopped and the doors opened, Amelia waited for her father to leave first. Once they stepped outside of the small box, Dr Brenner walked forward and held open a glass door.

On the other side of the glass door was a beautiful green space. Albeit small, compared to the lack of green Amelia found in her day to day life, this was magnificent.

When her barefeet made contact with the grass her hazel eyes lit up. There were flowers all around her. A symphony of color's transfixed her eyes and her mind. She was amazed by the sheer amount of life that surrounded her.
