People have always interested me. Their funny mannerisms, the way they act around people, adults, friends, parents, crushes and celebrities. I find that people also fall for a type of person. Someone who they think can give them anything and everything they crave, lust and demand. It's hardly ever what they need and that needs to change.

Take Harry and Draco for example. Only recently have they started dating each other. In the past Harry has had a couple of short-term girlfriends while Draco has dated a couple of people, a mix of genders. He wasn't specific, but generally preferred male partners. It's their first time dating someone they hated though, and a lot of people believe it wont work out. They think they'll fight all the time, that it will be an extremely toxic relationship.

I think they're wrong. It's evident already.

Ma'am your child's favourite trope is enemies to lover's because they're obsessed with the idea of someone falling in love with them for their flaws and validating them instead of accepting that they're human and therefore imperfect.

People with anxiety love the enemies to lover's trope because the idea of having someone see all of our negative traits first and then still fall in love with use is really comforting since we worry that if someone sees our negative traits after they fall in love, they'll leave us

Enemies to lover's is "we are on opposing sides of a conflict, and I hate what you stand for but respect your conviction"

NOT "we have a power dynamic where you manipulate my conviction and make me co-dependent on you/want to destroy my agency in choice as an individual"
