After the war, the old seventh years were invited back to hogwarts to complete their education. Most students returned, but a few didn't. Harry wasn't going to return. Many people tried to convince him to come but none succeeded.
Harry had broken up with Ginny and decided to follow one if his life long dreams. He loved drawing and tattoos fascinated him so he bought a shop in Hogsmeade and settled down.
The shop turned into a tattoo and piercing parlour. Some childhood friends from Surrey helped run the shop. Although they were muggles, they helped him a lot with accidental magic when he was younger. They accepted him as if they were his family, before the Weasley's even did.
Harry had three muggle friends that helped him run his shop. They were Katrina (Kat for short), Leo and Oliver (Olly for short). All three were from the same family - they were triplets and they were the same age as Harry.
They didn't understand why Harry couldn't go back to school but finally understood when they moved in. One particular night, Harry was run off his feet and forgot his silencing charms that he usually put up. During the middle of the night his friends woke up petrified for Harry because all they could hear was screams coming from his room.
No one slept that night.
The next morning when Harry came downstairs, he took one look at his siblings in everything but blood and started crying. He felt so bad that he had kept them up last night and reassured them it would never happen again. They comforted him best they could; closed the shop for the day, shoved ice cream and sweets down his throat and played games all day long.
Harry had never felt so loved then than he ever had before.

When school had started in September the students were surprised to see the Saviour hadn't returned. Truth is, no one knew where he was. Not even the rest of the Golden Trio. Harry wore glamours when he went out and the shop opened only a few days a week. He wore glamours then too. He was hiding and he wasn't sure why.
On Hogsmeade weekends the shop was actually quite full. It was mainly younger years getting their ears pierced but most of the seventh and eighth years got tattoos.
Hermione and Ron never came to the shop. Ginny did though and she and Katrina got along very well. Neville came in once and left with a date on his right shoulder blade: 31.10.1981. It represented the night he lost his parents to a torture curse. He never came back.
Luna came in quite often. She took one look at Harry (who was glamoured), realised who he was immediately and then congratulated him on his shop. Harry was flabbergasted. How did she do it?
Luna and Oliver hit it off almost instantly and were a very happy couple. She loved how he dyed his hair a different colour when he was in a different mood.
Dean and Seamus were dating openly now. However it seemed everyone knew that they were dating even though they hadn't told anyone. They came to the tattoo parlour and got all sorts of tattoos and piercings. They were happy customers and often came just for a chat.

Life was going great for Harry until a group of Slytherins came to his shop.
It was a Friday afternoon and Draco Malfoy, Pansy Parkinson, Blaise Zabini, Millicent Bullstrode and Theodore Nott had just walked through the door. The shop was empty apart from the workers and the new customers. Harry was behind the desk at the front and when he saw them he made a sort of strangled noise and blushed.
The slytherins heard him and bristled. They hadn't seen his blush. Katrina and Leo were working with Harry that day as Oliver was out with Luna. They were just stacking new piercings on the shelves when they heard the bell chime indicating they had customers.
