Jiayin dotingly kept her eyes on you as you finished picking the fourth glaze lily on the coruscating terraced fields of Qingce Village.
"Are you really sure it's okay for us to collect flowers here?" You ask Jiayin again, looking back to face her.
She was already carrying six of them with a couple of wildflowers in her nosegay.
The sun wasn't at its highest peak yet as it was still a bit early in the morning. Today, you decided to drop by to eat breakfast with her together since you hadn't seen each other in a few days.
You had to make sure that she felt comfortable with moving back to her place since you could only imagine the changes she's been seeing around right now.
After the hearty meal you shared with her, the two of you went out to gather flowers for her empty vases lying around the house.
As once stated by Zhongli, Glaze Lilies only bloom during nighttime or when it hears the sound of pure, beautiful music.
Now, you weren't confident of your skills when it came to singing in public—which was exactly why Jiayin was the one who hummed the flowers a tune. Only if it were you and the flowers were alone inside a secluded room, singing them a ten-minute song would not at all be a problem.
"Yes, I already told you it's fine, [Name]. As long as we sprinkle a few seeds on the ground, it's going to magically grow back again." She points at the pouch that was lying beside you. "But I think we have enough."
Granny Rouxin from the community center was the one who provided the seeds for the two of you to make sure that every picked flower was replaced with a new one.
With the ample amount of flowers that you and Jiayin have acquired from the fields, the two of you then proceeded to head back to her place as you notice her dendro vision attached to the back of her clothes.
It does look better when she wears it. You smile to yourself.
You were glad that she decided to finally make use of her acknowledged gift from the Gods. It made you feel at ease that she now has something to protect her. Jiayin also told you she was going to practice the art of spear fighting.
As soon as the both of you arrive at her place, you place the bunched-up flowers on the coffee table and sat down on the floor to begin arranging them.
Everything was nice and quiet—something you wish you had back at the manor in Liyue. But you could never have it, can you? Not while you're at Xingqiu's home.
"Where should I put this?" You ask her once you finished decorating one of the vases; picking the item up to admire it after. It contained two glaze lilies and the rest were wildflowers.
Her eyes shine in amusement—takes the vase away from you, then set it in the middle of the table. "It's the prettiest one since you made it, so it's staying on the coffee table."
"The prettiest? I only finished one arrangement." You laugh but she only smiles at you. "Oh, right, has Gui ever visited?"
"Gui? Oh, the person you went on a date with! Nope. I don't mind anyway, he didn't seem interested in being friends with me." She replies, making you nod in agreement.
After your date with him and his bizarre way of seeing you off, you refused to make contact with him again. His last stunt weirded you out and you already have a handful of weirdos in your life—you didn't want another one.
"Well, that reminds me, I've been invited to a casual gathering that will be held in a few days. Do you want to come with me? It's in Mondstadt, so you don't have to worry about people recognizing you. Care to make new friends there?"
