Kylie
Knock, knock, knock
She stared at the door. Should she ask who it is? Spencer had said not to speak to anyone but him and she knew it wasn't him. He could just walk back into the room. It was safe to say it was probably a stranger or the flight attendant.
Knock, knock, knock
It was rude but Kylie couldn't answer the knock, she was sure of it. There was no way she was going to risk it. Spencer was being so wonderful to her. She didn't want to make him mad.
The door opened slowly and a woman peered in slowly and cautiously. Is that the flight attendant from before? It had to be. Who else would it be?
The flight attendant slipped into the room and closed the door. Her name tag said her name was Paulina. As she took Paulina in quickly, Kylie wondered why Spencer hated her. Paulina was beautiful in a drop dead gorgeous model sort of way.
She had blonde hair pulled back into a high bun. Her skin was porcelain and flawless and she wore very little make up. Her body was just as perfect as her face. She was tall and thin in her flat shoes, she had to be maybe six feet tall.
Kylie sat in shock with her eyes wide open as this flight attendant came down onto her knees to be level with her. She looked directly into Kylie's eyes as she said, "Are you ok? I can help you. I know you're here against your will." Paulina looked at her watch, "We don't have much time. Can you nod your head for me?"
Should she risk it? Again her head warred with her heart. Her brain screamed for her to tell Paulina what she already knew. But her heart screamed as well, telling her to keep her mouth shut.
Then a thought occurred to her. Was Kylie not the first person Spencer had taken? Was Paulina 'the one' before her? Why did that thought bother her so much? So much that she felt an ache in her heart thinking she wasn't special to him if Paulina was before her. Did she have a job, like Paulina had now, awaiting her when he got tired of her?
Was this jealousy she felt? Why was this bothering her? If this is true then there was an end in sight to this kidnapping ordeal.
Before Kylie could even try to piece together how Paulina knew she was there against her will, or if she was just a number on a list of kidnapped women in his past, Spencer walked through the door, gun in hand.
Paulina froze. She was caught. Looking up at her, with worried eyes, Paulina seemed to be pleading for her life. When she realized there was nothing Kylie could do for her she backed herself into a chair on the side of the bed.
She saw the gun pointed at her and her hands went up in surrender. "Mr. Cade, I only came to see if you would be needing my services..." Paulina began babbling.
Kylie began shaking. What was going on? Why was he doing this? "Spencer..." She spoke only to him. "Don't do this!"
Spencer was looking back at her with a blank expression. "Don't do what, Kylie?" He held his 9mm pistol to Paulina's head. "What did she tell you? That she could help you?"
"What?" she didn't want to say yes and get Paulina killed. Is that what he does, his line of work? He kills people. She looked from him to Paulina.
What was she thinking anyway? Why would she think she would ever be able to get away? Did she honestly want to leave him? And why did it hurt her to think he may have taken Paulina first? Was she insane?
She didn't know what to do. Ignoring Paulina's babbling, Kylie tried talking to Spencer. He hadn't taken his eyes off of her since he walked in. His eyes were black with rage. "Spencer please!" She had to try to reason with him. "I promise you..."
