Part 6

Jimin went out for food with Yejin a couple of weeks later just to catch up.

"Are you finding it okay? I heard you're working with the guys for the show"

Jimin eats a piece of Tteokbokki and hums "Yeah it's going good. They know what they're doing obviously it's just fixing up minor things. Some of these dances they haven't performed in a while and with the staging being completely different in places it's just the case of teaching them new things and spacing etc but it's all good. No stresses so far"

She looks to Jimin with a smile and nods "That's good. I'm glad to hear it. We got the brief for make up and hair the other day. It'll be fun to do a heavy look on them"

"Oh is that what you're doing?"

Immediately she places a finger on her lips "Shh, don't tell anyone. I'm telling you bestie to bestie"

"Don't worry" Jimin chuckles "I won't tell anyone".

"One of the other make up artists is giving me a bit of a hard time not going to lie. It's like...she is out to get me or something. Keeps correcting me, and it doesn't feel like constructive critcism"

"I can relate" the boy hums out, "You obviously know about Jaewon, he was horrid. But just keep doing what you're doing. You know you're doing your job well, and as long as nothing come from the higher ups you're okay. She maybe just wants to be queen bee or something".

"Makes me not like her" she all but huffs out.

"You don't have to like her. Just act civil right?"

"I guess" Yejin says, placing a bit of Kimchi in her mouth. "So tell me, have you been dating much since you got to Seoul or..?"

Jimin can't help but freeze at the question a little. He hasn't told her about the boys. OBVIOUSLY. But he doesn't know how to answer this question. Should he lie and say he has, or that he's taken? No, that would just make her question who he's dating.

"I uh...haven't had the time you know? Work has kept me so busy"

"Yeah I relate"

She bought it.

"It's like, when I do have the time, I'm either tired, or no one wants to take me out. I swear it's so hard to meet anyone these days. And someone decent too".

"You want a boyfriend?" he asks in curiosity

"I mean yeah, I'm reaching that point where I could really...see myself with someone? I feel a little lonely"

Jimin places his hand on her arm and offers her a warm smile. "It'll happen, you watch"

"Come on guys, I'm right here. Come at me" she jokes "I have a nice butt and watch anime".

Jimin laughs along with her and then exhales softly. He's glad to have a friend he feels so comfortable with. She's really been a help since he joined the team and it helped him feel a bit more...on earth, and normal.

Today's practice was really strenuous. The guys had to learn the dances that would go for the dance breaks, and they were all sweaty and tired from it all.

At the end, Jimin wipes his sweaty forehead but the opts to use his t-shirt to wipe the rest of his face. Taehyung eyes him carefully the whole time, and clenches his jaw when Jimin's stomach is revealed. He doesn't know why, but today he was just on one.

Maybe Jimin looks particularly good, or the teasing the two engaged in earlier had too much of an effect on him. Oh he wanted Jimin today.

"Let's go home then" Jimin announces with a clap of his hands. "Good work today everyone. Yoongi hyung especially. The dance was so good"
