"Oh I fully am" Doyun chuckles when they're together in the studio a few weeks later.
"But how can I-..."
"If you're gonna shit on your skills as a choreographer I'm not here for it" he teases. "You're part of the staff now, officially and this of course means bigger responsibilities. Or are you telling me you'd rather me give this role to someone else? You can stick to what you know rather than teaching the newbies"
"No! No, no it's not that. God I'd love to start training the trainees. Don't get me wrong hyung, it's just a lot of responsibility but I can do it. It's just more are you sure? Are you confident enough to let me lead this?"
Doyun had gotten the green light from the higher ups to allow Jimin to start training the new trainees and for him to be the main lead in all of this.
"Of course. I trust you, I know your work and you're going to be so great at this. And it's not like they're debuting any time soon. You just have to make sure they learn to dance better. Make sure they build their stamina, teach them moves they struggle with to get them ready for when they get formed into groups and possible debut. You're not teaching them their own dances. They just have to listen and learn from you. Positioning, beats, to listen to the music etc" He places his hand on Jimin's shoulder and smiles endearingly.
"Stop doubting yourself and trust your abilities Jimin. You'll be great. And I'm always here to help you. And you can always rely on the other assistant choreographers too if you ever need help"
Jimin releases a heavy breath and offers a smile to Doyun in hopes that it would convey how glad and thankful he was for this.
"Thank you"
"Don't mention it. You see them tomorrow. They're going to be super nervous and scared so don't stress cos they'll basically view you as a mentor"
"Wow yeah no pressure then"
"None" Doyun chuckles, "You can always call me"
"Thanks hyung"

When he told Taehyung and Jungkook about the fact that he will be training the new comers, they both were so happy for him and kept telling him over and over just how well he will do. Sure it would be undoubtedly stressful but also fun. His first solo gig in a way. He could be training future artists here.
So the next morning Jimin got up extra early, showered, ate a good breakfast and headed over to the dance studio where the trainees would be arriving later.
He had a look around the room, and made sure the floor was clear of everything, water bottles were ready since they would basically start from the get go. Nothing too hard today but enough to let them get a taste of what they would get up to with Jimin from now on.
He looks at himself in the mirror, releases a breath and gives himself a mental pep-talk. He could do this. He was Park Jimin.
