The moment she left, it felt lonely even though Mateo and Conan were still there

"He's in love mate" Conan joked, pulling me out of my daze

"Definitely" Mateo agreed

"My gun is 2 feet away" I said, my eyes in slits

"Facts man, geez" Conan said raising his hands in surrender

"But does Blake know?" Mateo asked

The air in the room turned serious, I trust them with my life so I know they won't tell. I had to tell dad somehow; the more I hide this, the worse it will be when he finds out himself which won't take long.

"How am I supposed to tell him, he'd be pissed" I said running a hand up my hair.

"Well you have to tell him mate" Said Conan

"No shit" I spat

"I think he'd be mad but he'll see how much you care for her and she could help you as well which would show that she isn't with James" Explained Conan

"Yeah, like Conan said you should tell him" Mateo added, pressuring me more

"Can we just forget this for a while until I figure things out" I said irritated

"Anyway, Audrey is coming too, she arrived last night from America" Conan said trying to shift the mood "And I should go pick Bella, I'll see you guys there"

Mateo went with Conan, leaving me with my thoughts, what should I do? Dad wouldn't be happy and I might lose my position and my family. But I made a promise to Brooklyn.

I couldn't hurt her again, not when she gave me everything. I just had to try and convince mum and dad that she isn't a threat to us. Another thing to my large list of things that would be impossible. But for now, I had to forget everything and just enjoy. I, Conan, Mateo, Brooklyn, Bella and Audrey were friends since high school, well I avoided Brooklyn; we despised each other since then. I always found her interesting even though I tried to deny it and the only thing I could do to stay away from her is to spark conflict with her. As cruel as it sounds, it was the only way to talk to her without having to be friendly. I was too afraid of trying to be nice to her thinking that I would lose control and tell her how I felt. So I opted to yelling at each other. Bella and Conan dated since senior year, she used to live in a farm upcountry and met Conan there and He brought her to London. Mateo and Audrey used to date but ever since the accident, Mateo was forced to stay away from her to protect her and broke up with her. I always thought it was stupid, putting your happiness for someone who wasn't even your own blood. But now that I got a taste of what it was like to depend on someone, I know I would kneel down and bend my morals to save her. A smile appeared in my face, remembering the good old days in high school where we would cause trouble in the hallways, Bella and Brooklyn never really joined but Mateo, Conan, Audrey and I would always have some complaint. After Audrey's accident, she was never the same, she moved to America to work as a spy for the CIA. No one knew this, but Mateo joined along with her just to be near her. I would do the same, even if I couldn't talk to Brooklyn or touch her, I just wanted to hear her voice and see her. I knew what he felt.

Conan and Bella were already there when I came with Brooklyn who I had an arm around. I never admitted it, but I put a hands off rule for even guy in high school for her. I was immature but I'd do the same now, no shame.
