DAMIEN BROOKS.
Her smile was so invitingHer laugh was so contagious
But her head?
Oh boy,
Her head was full of so many things.
So many assumptions that he needed to correct.
He snapped out of his reverie when a warm hand touched his shoulder.
"Did you hear me?" Lily asked.
He cleared his throat as he realized what was going on.
"Is it my turn?" He asked the guys.
Blake nodded.
"Carry on.. I'm not in the mood" he told them and stood up.
"Where are you off to?" Tyler asked.
"Um,I need to sort out something"
"What's that?" Lily asked
Damien rolled his eyes.
"I'll see y'all later" he told Blake and Tyler who were preparing to spin the bottle again.*** ***
He stopped by her house after having just some energy drinks. He needed something to lift the mood up.He didn't like the state his grandpa was in earlier.
Damien wished there was something he could do to help that old man.
Anything.
He climbed up her window and knocked, even though it was open.
She waved her hand, signaling he could come in.
She was studying again, and when she felt his presence, she turned around to give him her attention.
"Hey Damien" she smiled.
"Hey,MM" he said as he sat on the floor.
"How is he?" She asked him.
"I don't know what to say," Damien drawled. "I really can't tell if he's improving or not"
Ever since Damien told Mel about his grandfather, she became very concerned.
It'd been more than a month since he told her and he could swear that she has asked of him every damn day.
This girl.....
"Well,I can feel that he's getting better"
Damien looked up at her.
"You're just saying that to make me feel better""No!" She said and pouted.
Damien laughed at her gesture.
"But it's working" he said
She wheeled towards him,and he stared at her.
"Do you have any allergies?"
"MM!"
"What? I'm curious"
Way to ruin the vibe.
Damien sighed.
"Yeah,I do""What is it?"
"I'm allergic to chlorine"
"Chlorine? Wow! Interesting.. at least, It's better than mine"
Damien chuckled.
"Been allergic since I was little""So you don't swim?"
"Rarely. If I was to swim, the pool has to not be chlorinated and come on,we all know that's not possible unless I wanna be swimming with spirogyra" he said and Mel laughed.
