A Promise

'Please....take good care of my brother for me...' seeing Ingenium there in his arms...Izuku set him down...as the darkness grew around him...leaving him in a void...
Izuku: "what?" as he then sees 
lida: "GUARDIAN!!" seeing him fighting off the hero killer  
Izuku: "no...Fuck!" as he rushes towards him...to try and stop them...but he was too late 
lida was struck the same way Ingenium was 
Izuku: "lida!" as the hero killer now just fades off he manages to hold him close 
lida: "i....i can't " 
Izuku: "fuck...nonono i need you alive...i promised...i fucking promised your brother" 
lida: 'and yet....you let him die" 
izuku; "what" and soon...lida went limp...as he then sees everything around him change...to now 
nejire: "zuzu" seeing her bloodied and his friends were dead on the ground 
Izuku; "NEJIRE!!" as he runs up to her...picking her up...holding her close 
Nejire: "where....where were you" 
Izuku: "I'm here...I'm here!" 
Nejire: "why didn't you save me?" and then he sees his friends surrounding him
Mirio: "you didn't save us" 
Yuyu: "I knew you were full of it" 
Tamaki: "why" 
Izuku: "I...I didn't" 
Okuma: "You have brought disgrace to the title of Guardian" 
Momiji: "you freak" 
lida: "IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!!" 
Nejire: "WILL YOU LET IT HAPPEN TO ME!?!!" g
Izuku: "no....no....NO!!!" as he then screams out feeling the anger and hatred rise in him...the guilt...and fear 
But...he woke up 

Izuku sat up suddenly...as he was sweating...hyperventilating as he looks around to see...
Izuku: "just...just a nightmare...a horrible one..." as he looks at the window...the sun barely rising...after his debriefing of the mission...how he failed to save Ingenium...his promise...seeing that he asked that he protect his brother...as he now gets into his casual clothing...making more repairs to his outfit again...as the strikes from the sword have dent it...his heart burning...why does it keep happening...why does it have to happen...when he is needed in crucial moments...what does it mean?...is it his quirk...to set him up for failure...just how he always fails...he then hears a knock on his door...as he looks at it...he gets up and opens it...to see Nemuri there...of course dressed casually...but...she was filled with concern 
Izuku: "oh...hi Midnight" 
Midnight: "you okay?" 
Izuku: "oh...um...yeah...yeah i'm doing fine" 
Midnight shakes her head: "can...can i come in?" 
Izuku: "uuh...sure" and he lets her in...as she looks around his room...she looks around...
Midnight: "I heard about what happened yesterday...*sigh* can't say that i wasn't worried for you...but...hearing about Ingeniums passing...i had to come see you" 
Izuku: "You didn't need to do that" 
Midnight: "but i do...come here" as she holds her arms out wide...indicating a hug 
Izuku: "why?" 
Midnight: "just come on over" as he reluctantly obeys...he then just finally gives up on the facade...and just clings on to her...as she worries for him even more 
Midnight: "it's alright....it's okay" 
Izuku: "*sob*...It's...It's my fault...it's my fault" 
Midnight: "no...you...you did what you could....shh shh shh" as she felt him kneeling down she does the same as he bawled out...letting everything out...she did what she could for several minutes as this went on for several minutes...

Nejire: "aah Mmph!...mmm~ so yummy!" as she eats a Macaroon from the local pastry shop...one of the better ones shes been to...
Yuyu: "I'll admit...they do make a good pie" as she eats the lime key pie they had...well...the seasonal...as they enjoyed the day..tamaki passed out on the bench right by them...Mirio then looks on over to the news on his phone...to then choke and he coughs
Nejire: "AH HEIMLICH MANEUVER!!" yelling out as Yuyu now gets behind him and does it..
Mirio; "OW!..I'M..GAH...NOT...CHOKING!!" letting go now 
Yuyu: "oh...whoops" 
Nejire: "why the sudden reaction?...did you find something weird?...is the pie bad?...maybe your allergic!?...Oh gosh do we need you to get to a hospital!?!" 
Mirio: "NO...no...no.........no" 
Yuyu: "then....what's wrong?" 
Tamaki also was curious...even though Mirio was choking...he knew he was fine 
Mirio: "look" as he brightens the screen...Tamaki sits up to take a look...and they were so shocked from this 

'Famous Pro Hero...Ingenium...slained by the Hero killer' 

that was the headline...and they stopped what they were doing...as Nejire looks at the article somemore...Mirio read it out 
Mirio: "In a strong battle in Hosu city...the aftermath of the incident resulted in the death of the famous pro hero after a struck to the heart...it is undetermined how this had happened...but locals say that he had help...but even then it wasn't enough...the asset for Ingenium was able to overpower the killer for the time being...but witness say that he soon clenched his chest where his heart....is....located" hearing this detail specifically...Nejire then pales at this 
Mirio: "You don't think...his job..." 
Tamaki: "he probably faced him" as Nejire now Yanks the phone out of his hand 
Mirio: "Nejire" 
Yuyu: "girl" as she scrolls through it...she then takes her phone out and calls Izuku 
Nejire: "Pleasepickuppleasepickuppleasepickuppleasepickup!" as she mumbled out to herself...no answer....she calls again...as she now grew even more worrisome 
Tamaki: "come on...he should be  back at U.A" and they make their way towards the school...leaving their unfinished pastries on the table...well Mirio came back to grab the pie before leaving
Mirio: "not wasting this!" and he catches up with them 
Flashback-10 years ago
Nejire: "*sniff*" as she lays underneath her bed...using her blanket to cover herself...wanting to hide away from the world...as she had another horrible day at school a whole month not seeing Izuku again..ever  since her mother forbid her from seeing him again...
Nejire: "zuzu...please....help me" as she cries silently...
"honey?"  hearing her mother knocking on the door...she curls up even more into her blanket 
"Sweetie...come on out" 
Nejire remain silent...
"come on...*sigh*...look it's for your own good...please...just let him go" as she hears this she didn't want to listen 
Nejire: "he is my hero!" as she muffled out from her blanket 
"I can't understand you through the door...come on...open it up" 
Nejire: "NO!...YOU NEVER UNDERSTOOD...YOU NEVER UNDERSTOOD ANYTHING!!" yelling out
"why...you speaking like that is bound for punishment young lady...do you want your father to get involve with this" 
Nejire then tensed...and she doesn't want to move at all 
"all right...be like that...but know...even when your older...you will never see that boy...I'm sure he won't even remember you" 
Flashback ends 
Nejire Shakes her head ignoring those thoughts....she continues to make her way towards U.A...scanning her school I.D going through the gates...but since she's on school grounds...she went and now flies to where Izuku is staying
Mirio: "crap we can't fly!" 
Tamaki: "let her get there first...then we'll go" 
Yuyu: "alright then...lets just hope it's not as bad as we think it is" 

Izuku: "*sniff*...thank you...i'm...I'm sorry for soaking you" 
Midnight: "oh it's alright...I'm not against human emotions" 
Izuku: "I...I need to call up Nej...she's probably worried about me" 
Midnight: "yeah...you do that" and as she opens the door Nejire barges right past her knocking her over...
Nejire; "ZUZU!" as she slides on the floor up to him...as she looks at him closely completely ignoring the fact she managed to knock over a pro hero...looking over him and his face..seeing the small bandage on his arm 
Izuku: "wha...Mmph!!" as Nejire now pulls him close to her chest...hugging him tightly 
Nejire: "oh thank god!" as as she nuzzles her head on his...her voice quivering from this...
MIdnight: "well...glad to know she cares" still laying on the ground...not even bothering to get up 
Nejire: "*sniff* okay..okay breathe...Pheew...alright...sorry for barging through Midnight" 
Midnight: "no problem..." 
Izuku: "how...how do you" 
Nejire: "It wouldn't be right of me as your girlfriend to not worry" 
Izuku: "y-yeah" 
Nejire: "I'm sure you would've done the same thing...if i heard you got hurt from the hero killer" 
Izuku: "I'm sure i would've hunt him down" 
Nejire: "yeah..."smiling as she brushes the tears off him..
Izuku: "*sob*...I...I failed him" 
Nejire; "you mean Ingenium" 
Izuku: "I...I could've saved him...but...i just can't help but think it's my fault" 
Midnight: 'and i thought i helped' 
Izuku: "i made a promise to him...before he died" 
Nejire stayed quiet to let him slowly explain it to her 
izuku held on to her hand tightly as she listens to him 
Izuku: "I made a promise to watch over his brother...to make sure he doesn't do anything reckless"
Nejire: "his brother?" 
Izuku: "lida Tenya...the student of class 1-A" 
Nejire: "*gasp*...oh no" 
Izuku: "and since internships are coming up...I'm worried he will try to get revenge for him" 
Nejire: "well..if you need help on keeping an eye on him...don't be afraid to ask" 
Izuku: "that's why...I'm tasked to be an intern...I'm going to try and convince him to be my intern" 
Nejire: "well...if anything happens...know...we're here...to help you" 
Izuku: "thank you" and right on cue 
Mirio: "hey bro we heard what happened are you...alright?" as the trio now looks into the room..seeing Izuku shirtless on the ground with Nejire while Midnight is laying in front of the door as she just stares at the ceiling...
Yuyu: "the hell did we just missed?"
