Character- Olivia DeLuca || 13 years old || she lives with her big sister Carina, pretty small for her age.
Plot- You get your period and Carina helps you.

OLIVIA'S POV
After mamma died, papà got sick and I couldn't stay with him anymore so I now live in seattle with my big sister carina. She's always been the best sister and has looked after me forever, she's like my second mama.
It was saturday today meaning I didn't have school, but carina had work so I was going to go with her today. After getting ready I packed a small backpack with my homework, bunny and some other things then went to carina's room.
"Everything packed tesoro?" I nod my head at her.
"Let's get something to eat then we'll head out" she said as she took my hand and we walked to the kitchen.
After eating breakfast with carina we got into the car and drove to the hospital.
"Start your homework. i'll be back every hour to check on you, ok bella?" she asks.
"Sì carina" I say and she kisses my forehead and leaves the room.
When I started on my homework my lower abdomen started to hurt, I rubbed my stomach trying to relieve some of the pain but it didn't seem to work. I decided I would quickly finish all my homework so that I could take a nap while carina finished. I pulled my bunny out of my bag and went to the couch in the attending lounge, I grab a blanket and lay down closing my eyes.

"Hello bella" I woke up to my sister stroking my hair. I smile at her and open my arms, she pulls me and bunny onto her lap where we stay for a while.
"I finished for the day, should we go home?" she asks, I was so comfortable I never wanted to move.
"5 minutes" I say, moving my head closer to her chest, she giggles and I feel her nod above me.

5 minutes had passed and we were now leaving, I had packed up all my things and we got to the car. I was still in some pain but I didn't tell carina thinking I would be better soon.
When we got home I got changed then went to watch tv, maybe if I relax a bit I will feel better. Carina started on dinner and after some time I went to use the bathroom. When I pulled my pants and underwear down the was blood, I knew immediately I had my first period but for some reason I was still so scared. A tear fell from my eye. I had no reason to be scared, my sister is literally a OB/GYN. She teaches me about these things.
CARINA'S POV
"Carina vieni qui" I hear olivia shout, her voice a little shaky. I rush to the bathroom where I hear her voice. I frantically knock on the door worried for my baby sister, she tells me I can come in. I open the door, she is sitting on the toilet seat crying.
"Cosa c'è che non va bambina?" I ask, crouching down and wiping her tears, she only looks down at her legs. I follow her eyes only then realising the blood on her underwear.
"Aw olive, you started your period" I say looking at her as another tear slipped from her eye.
"It's ok tesoro, why don't you go in the shower and i'll grab you new pyjamas?" she nods her head and I leave the bathroom as she starts taking off her clothes.
I go to olivia's room and grab her a t-shirt, pyjama pants and underwear before going back to the bathroom. I put everything on the table and tell her to call me when she is done so I can explain everything to her.
After a few minutes olive calls me back to the bathroom, I walk in and see she is still wrapped in a towel so I tell her to put on her underwear so I can show her how to put on the pad. I explain everything she needs to know, I didn't introduce her to tampons because she's just a little bambina. While olive is putting on her pyjamas I wipe down the mirror and floor with a towel because she made the floor wet.
"Puoi farmi i capelli?" she asks softly.
"Sì tesoro" I said as I did a single braid on her hair. When we finished in the bathroom I went back to finish off dinner while olivia watched tv. We ate and watched a movie before I saw her starting to get a little tired.
"Are you feeling ok my love?" I ask, wanting to know if I had to get her any medicine before bed.
OLIVIA'S POV
I nod my head truthfully, I didn't have any cramps anymore I think the shower was a good idea.
"Tired" I say softly, I wanted to sleep with carina. I know i'm a big girl, but sometimes she lets me sleep with her if I have nightmares or like when andrea died, but I haven't slept with my sister in a long time and I miss her. She holds my hand, I had blankey in my other hand so she held bunny and we walked to my room. Before we enter I looked at her and shook my head and then pointed to her room hoping she would get the hint, which she did and smiled.
Carina quickly got ready for bed while I climbed into her bed, once she was done she got under the covers and held me tight.
"My baby is becoming a women" she said she said kissing my nose. I blush bringing my head right up to her chest.
"I love you so much bambina"
"I love you so much too carina" I reply playing with her fingers. She truly was my favourite person ever, and the only family I had left.
