Y/n sat in the rain, looking up at the clouds. She fingered her necklace idly, the water droplets that collected on its surface sparkling in the soft light. She didn't mind the wet, in fact it helped her think. She desperately wanted to understand what was happening to her, but she had no one to turn to. Last week, Y/n had a dream about a man called the Doctor. His face was fuzzy in her memory, but she knew he had a London Telephone Box that traveled somehow. Maybe it was a fancy car or something.

She would've just put it off as a dream and nothing more if it had ended there. Y/n just couldn't stop thinking about him. He'd been warning her against something, but she couldn't remember what or why. And she had the faint inkling he wasn't really... from around where she lived.

"Doctor..." she murmured idly, drawing the shape of the blue box in the mud.

Suddenly, through the rain, Y/n saw something big. A huge circle just above the clouds, classic UFO shape and glowing. She got to her feet, knowing that it couldn't be good, and started to back away. As something began to descend from the thing, she broke into a run across the field, cursing herself for being somewhere so open. Y/n reached for her phone, pulling it out to dial the police when she froze. A harsh blue light surrounded her body, trapping her where she was. Her phone slipped out of her stiff hand, falling with a wet thump into the mud.

"EARTH FEMALE!" A robotic voice from behind her said loudly, drawing closer. It moved in front of her, and Y/n got an eye full of what looked like a large pepper shaker with an eyestalk that resembled that of a military tank. It had two limbs, one looking like a large suction cup and the other a lazer pointer that was responsible for encasing her in the frozen prison she was trapped in. "YOU- KNOW- THE DOCTOR! CONFIRM! CONFIRMMM!"

"Y-yes, sort of-" Y/n managed, trying and failing to break free.

"YOU- WILL- COME- ABOARD!" The thing demanded, turning and ascending into the air, dragging her along with it. They rose higher and higher into the air, rain pummeling against them. As Y/n began to lose sight of the ground below, she saw something. A blue box. There was a man just outside it's doors, looking up at her. Could it be?

The odd robotic creature reached an opening in the ship and threw Y/n inside. She tumbled hard to the floor, groaning. Quickly, she got to her feet and looked around. There were more of the creatures, uniform besides slight variation in color, crowded around a control panel in the wall. Peeking down the hall, she saw the ship had to go on for miles, with rooms stretching far as she could see.

The other creatures turned when the first one closed the opening and made towards them.

"IS- THIS- THE-EARTHLING?" One asked robotically.

"DOES- IT- KNOW-THE- DOCTORR?" Another one demanded in a higher pitch.

"What are you?!" Y/n breathed, backing up slightly.

"WE-ARE- THE DALEKS! WE- ARE- THE-SUPERIOR- RACE!" The thing that had grabbed her, apparently a Dalek supplied shrilly, "YOU-WILL- TELL- US- THE WHEREABOUTS- OF THE DOCTOR!"

Y/n considered this a moment. She knew where he was. He was on the ground, just below them. She could tell them, and hopefully they would let her go, right? But why, why should she tell them? They were clearly very hostile, and the man had done nothing against her, so why should she hand him over?

"Will you let me go, if I tell you?" She asked, stalling for time.

"YOU- ARE- THE - DOCTORS- ASSOCIATE, YOU- WILL- BE - EXTERMINATED!"

"Well then what's in it for me, eh?" Y/n said, crossing her arms cockily. What was she thinking? These things could kill her any second and she was playing hard to get? "Why should I tell you where my- my good friend, the Doctor is hiding out?"
