It was the longest chapter I have written in this story till now lol!
Mental Institution AU is kind of hard to write, because I have not much information about mental ward institutions. I just made some researches and read fanfictions lol. I have never been in an actual mental institution.
So I'm sorry if I made any mistake...
There is fluff in this chapter~

As soon as Wei Ying heard the door was unlocked, he was excited and nervous at the same time. He was excited, because he was going to see Lan Zhan again. He was nervous because he was scared that Lan Zhan would be mad at him after yesterday.

Now they were face to face. Wei Ying couldn't understand what Lan Zhan was thinking by looking at his face since he was always wearing the same plain expression. Wei Ying felt his throat was dry. He swallowed. "Good morning."

"Good morning." To his surprise Lan Zhan gave him a small smile.

"About yesterday..." Wei Ying started but his words were cut when Lan Zhan pulled him into a hug. He stroked Wei Ying's soft hair gently.

"Don't think about it," Lan Zhan said.

Wei Ying felt relaxed in Lan Zhan's arms. He was happy for the first time after a long time. However, his happiness didn't last long. 'Nothing good is going to happen to you. Never. So don't think about it.'

"Wei Ying... What's wrong?" Lan Zhan asked when he felt Wei Ying was shaking in his arms. He was caught out of guard when Wei Ying suddenly pushed him away. "Wei Ying... What are you doing?" He asked trying to hide the hurt in his voice. Wei Ying didn't answer. He just pushed Lan Zhan away from himself. It was like he had lost his mind. He was scared that Wei Ying was going to have tantrum again.

Fortunately, the thing which Lan Zhan was scared didn't happen. Wei Ying seemed furious, but at least he was not trying to harm himself. "Go..." Wei Ying spoke through his gritted teeth. "Why are you giving me hope when you already know that nothing good will happen to me?" He clenched his fists and looked at Lan Zhan furiously. "You are so cruel Lan Zhan... You doctors are all so cruel..." He collapsed onto his bed and began sobbing.

"What do you mean Wei Ying?" Lan Zhan couldn't hide the sadness in his voice anymore. He tried to hug Wei Ying, but Wei Ying pushed him away.

"Don't touch me!" Wei Ying screamed. Lan Zhan was scared that he was going to have to sedate him again. 'You lost your mind. No sane person hears voices in their mind.' Wei Ying covered his ears and that made Lan Zhan worry about him. "Shut up! Shut up! All of you!"

"Wei Ying..." Lan Zhan held Wei Ying's hands away from his ears. "Tell me what's wrong?"

Wei Ying shook his head. "No... Leave me alone..." Wei Ying sat on his bed took his head between his hands. He was rocking back and forth as if he was in a trance. Lan Zhan wanted to know more about the things in Wei Ying's mind, but his instincts were telling him not to push further more. That's why he had no choice but to do what Wei Ying told him.

"Okay..." He reluctantly left the room, still worried about Wei Ying.

No positive progress today. He still doesn't trust me enough to tell me what happens in his mind. Maybe it is too early for this.

Lan Zhan sighed. He had to write a few words to his notes in notebook after every session with Wei Ying, but they couldn't make any progress with Wei Ying. Lan Huan knocked Lan Zhan's door. "Wangji, may I come in?"

Lan Zhan let out a sigh and put his pen onto his desk. "Of course."

Lan Huan walked in. "I wondered how it was going, but by looking at your face, I can see that you didn't make any positive progress, right?"
