Wei Ying's story was not bad in the beginning unlike the most of the people who had the same disease with him. He didn't have any trauma from his childhood at least any trauma from his parents.

Even though he didn't remember most parts of his childhood and his parents' faces were not clear in his mind anymore, he could still remember their warmth as they were hugging him. Their voices were not clear in his mind at all but he could still remember they told him how much they loved him.

That accident took them away from him. Not only them, it also took his happiness and mental health away.

As soon as he opened his eyes, he knew the horrible truth. His mother's and father's broken and bloody forms were laying in front of his eyes. Even in a moment like that she ignored her life and kept her son in order to protect him. He knew they were gone. His whole body was aching, but he didn't feel it. His heart was aching more.

He closed his eyes and burried his face into his mother's chest. He had no will or strength to live. He just laid there in his mother's arms and waited to die. He just waited and waited until everything was dark and silent.

"The child is still alive."

"Someone call the ambulance immediately."

He didn't know how many hours had passed when he started to hear the voices again. Why wasn't he dead yet? 'No! Just let me die in here!' He wanted to yell at people to leave him to die with his parents, but he couldn't move his lips to pronounce a proper word. He felt he was taken away from his mother's arms. Even though his heart was shattered, he couldn't cry.

It was the first time when Wei Ying said goodbye knowing that he wouldn't see them again. At least not in this world. It was an experience he didn't want to live again, but he knew he was going to have to say goodbye to his loved ones as long as he was alive.

He knew he should have told something, but the words didn't come out of his mouth. He couldn't do anything but cry as his parents' bodies were being burried under the soil.

He thought losing his parents was the worst thing, but he was wrong. Not being wanted by his own relatives and being all alone was as bad as losing his parents. Eventually his mother's cousin accepted to take him to her house, but it was obvious that she was extremely reluctant.

That house was horrible. His new father never wanted him from the start. The children in the house either. Wei Ying never asked anything from him. Because he knew he had the potential of breaking all of his bones.

He didn't remember how many times he woke up in a hospital because of their abuses. He was starved, dehydrated, broke one of his arms and ribs since the children thought it would be funny to push him off from the stairs.

They were not the only ones who were abusing him. His mother's cousin was also abusing him too. Whenever he had a fight with the other children, the woman would hit or kick him.

Wei Ying had been abused by them emotionally and physically until he picked up his courage someday and ran away from the hell which he never saw as a home. He knew they won't look for him or even worry about him. He could still remember how being finally free felt like even though too many years passed since that day.

His pain didn't end there though. Whenever he was hungry, he had to steal foods. He could still remember how the sticks and stones hurt his skin as the people who stole their food hurt him. It hurt, but at least he was free and not under the fear of being abused all the time.

Lan Zhan felt like his world crashed down when he heard news from his older brother.

"Mr. Wei is sick. He has pneumonia." Before Lan Huan could finish his sentence Lan Zhan had already left the room. "Wangji where are you going with these thin clothes? At least take your raincoat!"

However, Lan Zhan didn't hear him. He didn't care if he was not wearing suitable clothes for a rainy weather, he just wore his shoes and ran to the ward. Wei Ying was all that matters to him at that moment and he didn't care about being sick.

When he got into Wei Ying's room he saw a doctor was standing next to Wei Ying's bed. Lan Zhan swallowed the lump in his throat when he saw Wei Ying's situation. There was an IV on his arm and he was still shaking despite the fact that there were the beads of sweat on his forehead. He could eventually ask. "How is he?"

The doctor let out a sigh and explained. "He must have been outside for a long time. He has pneumonia."

Lan Zhan nodded his head. "May I stay here for a while?" He asked. He wanted to stay alone with Wei Ying for a while. After all it was his fault that Wei Ying was laying in there.

The doctor nodded his head understanding and respecting Lan Zhan's request. "If you need something you can press the button to call me into the room."

Lan Zhan nodded his head and waited the doctor to leave the room. "I'm sorry..." Lan Zhan apologized when the doctor left and wiped Wei Ying's sweaty forehead with a wet towel. "Sorry for hurting you that much..." His voice began shaking a bit. "I'm sorry for telling the things I shouldn't have told you, but I know I can't undo the damage I gave." He stroked Wei Ying's hair. "I know you may not forgive me and you don't have to, but I did this for your own good. I love you so much and I promise I won't leave you again when I come back..." He touched Wei Ying's cheek softly before he left the room.
