Back to y/n's pov
It's currently 5:42. I have to be back at school by 5:57. Ok y/n we have to get it together and hurry the fuck up. I decided to change my mind about one of the outfits. I decided to ditch the sweatshirt and go for a cute button up with the same cute skirt.
I grabbed the outfit and stuffed it in my cheer bag. because something tells me that I'm not going to be able to get ready in 15 minutes. especially when Eddie always drives like a maniac at the speed of sound.
"y/n you ready?" said nance as she leaned against my door frame
"Yeah, let's go." I said as I grabbed my cheer bag and my house key
"MIKE LETS GO" yelled Nancy as she walked down the stairs.
As Nancy grabbed her keys from the counter, Mike ran down the stairs and Mrs. Wheeler walked into the kitchen.
"Mike remember what we talked about you come back home at 9:00 or no California"
"Fine 9:00" he said as he rolled his eyes
"Wait y/n does Chrissy need a ride?" asked Nancy
"Oh no she's going with Jason"
"Ew" she said as she opened the door so she could start heading to the car and get it started.
"Ok Mike lets go, bye Mrs. Wheeler"
"Bye darling"
I got into the car and sat in the front seat next to Nancy like always. I pulled down the overhead mirror and touched up my makeup into a more natural look.
"Oooo some ones getting ready for their date" said Nancy in a sing song-y type voice
"Well I just wanna look natural and not like I'm trying too hard with a face full of makeup."
"Ok I see you, you know what you're doing. What outfit did you pick?"
"I'm wearing a skirt with a cute button up with some converse I have in my bag because we're not going anything big so I'm going with a casual look"
"Oooo cute! When you get home I don't care if it's the middle of the night, wake me up and tell me everything ok?"
" Don't worry nance I will." I said as I fixed my hair.
"good"
"mike can you do me a favor?"
"depends on what it is?"
"can you check up on El's powers and tell her to give me call since I haven't heard from her in a while"
"yeah sure I guess"
"thanks"
We finally got to the school and I saw Eddie outside smoking a cigarette. Leaning against a lamppost.
I got out of the car and grabbed my cheer bag as I walked over to Eddie mike stopped me.
"Where are you going to the gyms that way?"
"I have to tell Eddie something. Can you just give me like 4 minutes alone with him? Please mike?"
"Fine, you've got five only because Dustin's over there with erica."
"Thanks mike!"
I walked over to Eddie as he saw me getting closer, and blew out the smoke he had in his mouth.
"Don't you look peppy. Aren't cheerleaders supposed to smile and giggle." he said as he put the cigarette back in his mouth
"Nah, I'll pass, plus its not like I get anything for acting like I'm happy 24/7" I said as I took the cigarette out of his mouth
