Adriana knocked on Harri's guest bedroom door and waited for a response. Silence.

"Harri?" Adriana asked.

Still nothing, and the door was locked.

Adriana called Harri's cell phone and heard it ringing on the other side of the door. She then heard the ringer shut off after one and a half rings.

"Harri...it's just me," Adriana said. "He left...Jack is gone."

Still no answer.

"Harri...I don't want to have to go and find a key, but I'll go get one and come back," Adriana said.

Adriana waited a few moments longer and then Harri finally opened the door. She barely looked at Adriana before walking back over to her bed. Adriana could see that Harri's eyes were red, but she wasn't crying. At least, not anymore.

"Harri, are you okay?" Adriana asked.

Harri crossed her arms while standing, still facing away from Adriana.

"Jack...didn't tell me everything that happened," Adriana said. "But I know you got paint and asked him to use it on his face-"

"Oh, so this is my fault?" Harri asked darkly, and turned to Adriana.

"No...no I wasn't saying anything like that," Adriana said. "I just don't know what happened exactly-"

"Neither do I," Harri said. "One minute he was normal...he was Jack. Next minute he was.."

"He was what?" Adriana asked. She wished she still had her gift. She would have been able to see through Harri's memories exactly what had transpired.

"He was..." Harri said and looked like she was remembering a bad dream. "It's like he changed into a different person right before my eyes.  He was just..smearing his face and muttering and...his whole voice changed."

Harri closed her eyes and started shaking her head, like she was trying to make herself forget it.

"Harri...I'm so sorry it happened like that," Adriana said.

Harri opened her eyes. She was glaring.

"You and Bruce," Harri said. "You're vigilantes. You're supposed to be the good guys but you...harbor a killer. He's killed so many people Adriana...so many..."

"Harri...most of them weren't good people," Adriana said.

"Most!" Harri said. "It doesn't matter!"

"Please...don't yell," Adriana said. The door was closed, and Adriana felt certain that if they kept their voices at normal speaking volume their voices would not travel through the hall. Adriana did not want Arsenio to hear any more about Jack than he already had.

"I've been watching videos," Harri said. "News reports from a few years ago...there's even a documentary. A documentary about him and all his victims. All of the awful things he's done."

Adriana didn't know what to say.

"I'm sorry, Harri," she said, finally.

"I don't know what I'm supposed to do with this," Harri said. "Part of me wants to slap the shit out of you, but you have those fucking stiches on your face."

"What do you mean, what you're supposed to do?" Adriana asked. "Harri you can't tell anyone. No one...not even your husband."

"No one would believe me," Harri said.

"I'm so sorry, Harri-" Adriana said.

"Stop apologizing to me," Harri said. "Maybe you should apologize to all the victims who never got justice. He never suffered any consequence for what he did. All the suffering in his life, he forgot. How convenient. To forget his trauma and his entire life...live his life, killing and traumatizing everyone else. And now you and Bruce give him a new face and a new life. It's sickening."
