"Congratulations," Lucius said to Adriana over the phone after she told him about her pregnancy.
Adriana was quiet.
"You remember when I was in your office...and I told you I thought...maybe I might be pregnant," she said.
"Well, it wasn't very long ago," he laughed.
"Lucius..." Adriana said, letting him know it was serious.
"Of course," he said.
"What we thought...what we both thought but didn't say..." Adriana said. "That's...crazy right? I mean..."
Now, Lucius was quiet.
"Adriana," he said. "If you are concerned, there is no reason you cannot simply check-"
"No..no, I'm not concerned," Adriana said. "Because it's ridiculous. I don't want to think about it anymore. I shouldn't have brought it up-"
"We do not have to discuss it," Lucius said. "This is a joyous time in your life and no matter what happens, you have done well."
Adriana sighed.
"I want Bruce to be happy..." Adriana said. "I want him to be so happy..."
Lucius was quiet, hearing her thinking out loud.
"That's all I want," she said.
"Of course you do," Lucius said to her.
"And I want him to find someone amazing," Adriana went on.
"And I am sure he will," Lucius said to her.
"Yeah?" Adriana said, Lucius hearing her voice had gone slightly tearful.
"Of course," Lucius said. "He will find an amazing woman one day. He will. I'm sure I will like her, and so will you."
"Yeah," Adriana said, sounding like she was smiling through her tears. "He will. Because he is an amazing man. He's an amazing father. He is...brave...and strong....he's so strong..."
"He is," Lucius said. "Strong enough to handle the truth."
Adriana was quiet.
"Whatever it may be," Lucius said. "And so is Jack."

Adriana looked for Arsenio and Bruce in the manor when she got home but eventually found Alfred instead.
"They have gone out for a very early morning walk on the grounds," Alfred told her. "Would you like me to prepare your breakfast?"
"Actually...I think I'm going to go and lay down," Adriana told him. "Thank you though."
Adriana went to the bedroom and kicked off her shoes and immediately got into bed. She had been so tired recently. She couldn't even imagine working out or practicing vigilantism. All she wanted was to lay in bed and rest. Adriana drifted off into a dream very quickly.
She was in a very full courtroom sitting in the last row of observers. The Joker was on trial and a few of the jurors looked horrified at what the prosecution was presenting. Photographic evidence of some of his crimes. Adriana stood up in the back row and saw him, the Joker staring off into space straight ahead of him, appearing to see and hear nothing.
Then she looked down and noticed that she was heavily pregnant. She held her abdomen and felt a baby within her moving energetically. She left the aisle she was in, no one taking notice of her, not even the judge. Everyone was looking at the presentation of horrific photographs at the front of the room. She walked along the aisle and went around to where the Joker was sitting. It was as though she was invisible, no one was stopping her. The guards behind him ignored her entirely.
