Adriana woke up in a dark place. She looked down at the heavy weight she felt on her ankle. A thick chain. She looked around. The underground prison where the Batman had kept Jack. And she was trapped. She struggled with the chain for a while before realizing it was useless. Screaming would also be useless.

She looked around for anything to use to free herself. Nothing. And then he appeared before her. The Batman.

"Wha..." she said. "What is this? What is going o-"

"You betrayed me," he said to her, his armor and mask concealing most of him. But she recognized his voice.

"I didn't," she pleaded. "I...I'm sorry."

"You didn't?" he asked. "Or you did and you are sorry?"

"I'm sorry..." she apologized again. "Please, unchain me."

"I can't do that," he said.

"But, why not?" she asked.

"You betrayed me," he said. "And you continue to."

"Bruce...I love Jack," she said. "I can't change that-"

"That is not what I am referring to," he said.

Adriana frowned and looked up at him.

"What do you mean then?" she asked.

"I deserve the truth," he said. "So do you. Covering your eyes...is betrayal."

She swallowed. Once he realized she was saying nothing in response, he began to back away, heading for the exit.

"Wait!" she called frantically. "Bruce! Wait!"

She began to cry as he walked away.

"Bruce! Suéltame!" she screamed. "Suéltame!"

She wept.

"Perdóname!"

He did not wait. He left. She shouted his name over and over even after he was gone. And she was trapped.

Adriana sat up in bed after the nightmare shook her from her sleep. She held her chest and looked ahead. She was free and it had only been a dream. Once she caught her breath she looked around.

Jack was awake beside her, sitting and leaning back against the headboard. Seeing him nearly made her cry with joy.

"Jack..." she said and immediately fell into his arms.

"You were talking in your sleep," he said to her after holding her for a while.

"Was I?" she asked and looked at him. "What did I say?"

"Hm..." he hummed. "Bruce...Bruce...Bruce-"

"Oh, Jack," she said and pushed a few strands of hair back off of her forehead. "It wasn't like that...it was...."

"You also said," he went on. "Unchain me. I'm sorry."

Adriana looked into his eyes.

"So, you had a nightmare about Bruce," he said.

Adriana sat up and looked away.

"Yeah..." she said almost sounding ashamed. "It was...ridiculous..."

"What happened?" he asked.

"I was down underground," she said. "Where he kept you. Chained to the floor."

Jack slowly took her into his arms again.
