Chapter 20

I hear knocking on my door. "Jess, please can we talk about this?" I toss onto my bed covering my head with my blanket. He continues to knock. Upset, I yell at the door. "There is nothing to talk about!" He pulls the blanket off of me. I raise my eyebrow at him. "Stop acting like we are together! I did one thing. We aren't dating." I stand up. Looking up at him with our chest barely touching. "No but I assumed you saying you want to be with me meant you actually wanted a relationship. Hell you probably fucked her after telling me you loved me." He looks down. "You fucking asshole! Are you serious!?!" I lift my foot up and kick him in his chest. He falls but gets up and runs down stairs. I follow him out the door as he hides behind Lukas who just so happen to come. "What- OW. Jess!" I accidentally punch Lukas in the face. "You had sex with her while you were talking to me. You fucking prick. Lukas move unless you want to get your ass beat too." He tries to run but Aiden keeps him in place in front of him. I go to punch him and my hand gets grabbed. Suddenly I find my arms stuck to my side. I turn around to find Jesse holding me. "What the hell is going on?" I turn to Aiden tears starting to fall down my face. "You had sex with her knowing you were just in my bed. I gave you the one thing I could never get back. I...I...I don't want to hear from you again." I break away from Jesse's grasp and run inside the house. I go inside my room and cry into the pillow. I feel a hand on my waist. I look up to see Lukas above me. Instantly I pull him into a hug and he pats my back as I cry. "I should've listened to you. It was stupid of me to think I could change him. Im so naive. He got what he wanted and left." He shakes me. "Don't say that. Get dressed we're going to the beach for the day. I'll be back in 30 minutes and you better be packed." He leaves my room. I lay in my bed for about ten minutes. Just giving myself time to collect my thoughts before I leave the house. I go into my closet grabbing my bathing suit. I toss it onto the bed. Tiptoeing downstairs I grab a towel from the closet. I grab my Sandals from by the door and head back up. I toss the towel on the bed. I grab a bag from my closet and toss the clothes in there. I decided to change my clothes into something more movable. I put on some tennis shorts and a tank top. I wipe the dried make up off my face. I put my hair into a ponytail. Slipping on my shoes and grabbing my bag. I head downstairs. I write a note on the fridges whiteboard for Jesse. I bump into Aiden. I didn't in look his direction. Its too painful. I meet Lukas at the beach. "One second I invited Gil, don't worry him and maya don't really talk that much." He assures me. We wave to Gil as he walks up. "Wow I've never been around Jess except when she was trying to kill us." I laugh. "Its nice to see you too." I say while giving him a playful bump. We split ways to change. I put on my bathing suit. It was navy blue with purple lines down the sides. I step out and stand against the building waiting for them. They come out. Wow after Gil lost the beard and weight he's actually attractive to me. He's not my type but he looks nice."Ill join you guys in the water in a bit im going to sit in on the sand." Lukas waves. "We weren't getting in the water right now." We all lay beach towels down and lay on them. I release my hair from its pony tail. Although my hair texture is very thick it still lays flat, that is until it gets wet. It blows behind me and I smile as the warmth from the sun beams down on me. "Jess I have to tell you something." I open a eye to see Lukas laying down and Gil sitting cross legged on his towel playing with his fingers. "Maya and Aiden they.." I raise a hand. "Its fine Gil I know. Lets all go to the water." Lukas whispers something into his ear. His eyes grow and he nods indicating he understands. They follow behind me to the water. We splash around in the water. I sit around Gil's neck and we sneak up on Lukas. I jump off of his neck and land on Lukas, pulling him into the water. He emerges giving us angry looks as we laugh at his pain. We high five eachother. We head back to the sand after it starts to get dark. Gil hands us small cups. He pours liquor in them. "To jess!" We bump them together and drink. It burns but feels good. "Fuck." We wave to gil as he leaves. Me and Lukas walks side by side to my home. The walk was quiet.I stand on the porch for a minute just staring at the door. Lukas grabs me by the shoulders. "Hey. Don't let him get to you. You survived a witherstorm, two powerful people, a mind controlling computer and a powerful immortal man. You can survive a little heart break. Your Jessica the leader of this town. Don't forget that." I somehow find myself getting lost into those beautiful blue eyes. I pull away as I was just about to kiss him. He grabs my chin gently tilting my face so that im looking at him. "Use me to heal your heartache, Let me be your rebound." I look down, unsure of the outcome. "Im positive." Before I can protest he pulls me in for a kiss. Instead of pulling away I kiss deeper. He pulls away. "You should get inside its late." I grab his arm before he walk away. "Could you stay the night?" I turn red. I didn't mean it in the way it came out. "Sure." He follows me into the house. "Lukas?" I didn't even have to turn around to know whose voice that belonged to. Aiden. To avoid conversation I go upstairs. I make my bed and tidy my room before Lukas comes in closing and locking the door. "Jesse gave me some night clothes to borrow. Im going to get dressed in the closet." By "gave" i'm pretty sure he stole them. He goes in the closet shutting the door behind him. I take off all my clothes and place them into the hamper. I throw on some sweat pants. "Woah." I turn around to see Lukas staring right at my boobs. Rolling my eyes I walk up to him, grabbing his hand I place it right around it. "Jess I cant." He says removing his hand. "You said I could use you. What if I need you for pleasure?" I say dragging my hand across his chest. "Are you sure?" I nod. I don't know what got into me but i couldn't stop myself. "I'm single your single how about you and I do a little.....mingling." I whisper into his ear. I sit and lay back onto the bed staring at him. He turns off the lights and crawls in bed with me. I start to giggle as I saw lust and passion fill his eyes, turning them from a soft ocean blue to a bright electric blue.
