Chapter 26

I sit in Lukas's living room fiddling with my dress. I have a yellow dress on with matching heels and necklace. Nothing too much or less. Aiden comes downstairs in a navy blue suit and lukas comes from the kitchen with a black suit on. "Alright you guys ready?" Nodding I put on some tennis shoes. "I refuse to walk there with heels on." I follow Lukas and Aiden out of the house while Lukas locks the door. We walk for a while before we get to the temple. I knock a couple times then realize I have a key. I unlock the door. "Jesseeee!" I yell out. He comes from a room. "I was just tying my tie." I go hug him. "Where's Petra?" He adjust his clothes. "She hasn't made it yet but she'll be here in about 10 minutes. I also invited Olivia and axel." I nod. I put on my heels. "Hey Lukas, Aiden." They nod at each other. "Hey guys." Petra waves at us with Olivia and Axel behind her. Petra has on a long navy blue dress on. Her hair flat down missing it's usual bandana. Olivia has on a deep red dress with her hair in a messy bun. While Axel had on a black suit as well. "Great we're all here. Let's go eat." Jesse links arms with Petra leading her to the room with all of us following. A waiter come over. "Could we get leaders and their significant other at the ends of tables." I sit at one end while Jesse and Petra sit at the opposite side. Everyone else sits at different sides. "While we're waiting on the food anyone got anything to say?" I hear Jesse say. "Actually I'd like to talk to Olivia real quick." She looks surprised but gets up and follows me out the room. "We need to talk about the situation that's messed up our friendship." She nods. She's always been quiet. "Look I know what you heard and I apologize. I know you liked Axel and still do but I want to tell you exactly what happened. That day Axel came to me with flowers buttercups to be exact. He confessed that he had liked me for some time but was scared it'll drive the group apart and/or make Jesse mad but he pushed those thoughts aside because he'd really wanted to be with me. I declined because I had liked Aiden at the time and I knew you liked Axel. I tried to walk away but he pulled me into a kiss which is when you came in. You ran out before I got a chance to explain myself. I never got to explain anything because we went on the witherstorm thing journey and me, Jess, Lukas and Petra went to the admin journey. You were already ruling redstonia while we were ruling here. There wasn't time. So I never kissed Axel, he kissed me. Yes I should've pulled away sooner but I'm sorry. I hate us fighting." She pulls me into a hug. I hug back. She pulls away with tears in her eyes. "I missed you. It's been so miserable not being able to talk to you." She says. I laugh. We walk back into the room with everyone already eating. "Thanks for waiting guys. Your such gentlemen." I say rolling my eyes while sitting down. "Didn't no one tell you to take forever." Jesse says biting into his steak.
I make my plate that consists of steak, potatoes, corn on the cob, green beans and a dinner roll. There was much different options but I like what I like. I dig into my food. Jesse clears his breath. "Guys me and Petra have something to say..... we're getting married." I smile. Everyone says their congratulations. But Jesse only pays attention to me. I nod with a smile as if he was waiting on my approval. He sighs and I see the stress leave his body. "He's yours now Petra. My job is over." She smiles. "Not quite yet. How do you feel about being a aunt?" We all turn towards her, including Jesse. "Your pregnant?!" He says. I guess he didn't know. She nods and pulls out some photos. "Twins." She says. His smile meets his eyebrows as he pull her in for a hug. "That's amazing!" She hugs back. "I don't know the genders yet but I found out a couple days ago." He kisses her. "It doesn't matter. I'll love it and you the same." I smile my big brother finally is happy. "Jess. You know that means you have to step up for a while so I can tend to Petra. We'll still share titles but you'll have to do most of the work now. Instead of getting notes you'll have to go to meetings." I nod. The rolls are being switched. Jesse will be the one with less control and I'll have majority of it. I go back to eating my food. I pick up my phone as it vibrates. It's Aiden we text a little before I decide to place my phone down. After a couple hours later, Lukas and Jesse are drunk on the couch. I begin helping Petra in the kitchen as everyone heads to the living room. We came to his house after eating to celebrate. Jesse gave me a couple shots. I begin washing the dishes as she wipes down the table. "Soo how are you and Aiden?" I shrug. "I honestly don't know. The feelings are still there but I don't want to rush things, somethings stopping me." I tell her. She leans back against the wall belly barely visible. "Your probably scared for the way you guys ended. I say give him another chance. Sometimes guys fuck up the first time but makes everything right the second. Aiden seems like he's sorry and changed his ways. It may be hard to forgive but it's possible. I went through the same thing with Jesse." Huh? Jesse? She laughs. "Yep your brother Jesse. He cheated. We were split for a minute but he started texting me out of no where asking for forgiveness and apologizing. That's why after Romeo I left two weeks later. I saw him with another woman and I left that night." I nod. It all makes sense. She just up and left out of nowhere. "We worked things out, we started as just friends and worked our way up. Things happened and here I am with his children and ring." She says rubbing her stomach. "Jess help me carry Lukas home." I hear Aiden yell. I give Petra a hug. "I'll see you later, be safe." She waves. I pick up Lukas's leg while Aiden grabs his arms. "Bye Jesse I'll call you later." We both walk out of the house carrying Lukas. "Hey Jess?" He says. "Hm." I hum. "Could you stay the night. I really don't want to be alone today." I nod. "I'll need a shirt." He nods. "Of course, of course. I figured that. I just wanted to talk and catch up." He props Lukas onto his knee so he can unlock the door. He carries Lukas into his room and I follow Aiden into his room after locking the front door and closing his. I sit on the foot of his bed taking off my shoes. "Ready to talk?" I stare at him, then at his pants, then back at him. "I want to do more than talking." I say crawling to him on the side of the bed. "J-J-Jess?" I shush him and start gently kissing his neck. I let my alcohol consume me.
