Out of the quarrel with others we make rhetoric; out of the quarrel with ourselves we make poetry—”

Mijung had her eyes closed, cocooned in the warmth of blankets and soft mattress, she wanted nothing but sleep. But she has been awake for some time, just lazing around because she was on a vacation. However, the person accompanying her has different plans.

"Mijung, sweetheart, you gotta wake up," she heard Heejung say. The blinds were pulled away harshly, filling the room with warm sunlight.

Mijung groaned, squinting at the sudden light burning her sleep-heavy eyes. “Please, Heejung. Just a little more. I’m on a vacation and I haven't slept this well in a while.”

“Well, I'm sorry for ruining it but we need to make haste. I have the whole day planned and we have only twelve hours before getting back into our comfortable beds. Do I need to remind you we are here to have fun? Fun isn't in bed,” he said, his voice rising with each progressing word and Mijung just couldn't ignore him anymore.

Sitting up, she glared at him, already dressed in khaki shorts and a white polo shirt. His hair which was usually styled perfectly out of his face fell on his forehead, looking fluffy. He had also ditched his contacts for once and was wearing his thick-rimmed glasses.

He looked positively like the boy she had had a crush on growing up.

Gulping the sudden wave of emotion that hit her, she looked away and muttered under her breath, “I know a lot of fun things we can do on a bed.”

She didn't mean for him to hear it. In fact, she was sure he didn't until he said, “I know but this is not the place nor the time. Definitely not a hotel room. Never.”

He left her gaping. His retreat to the other side of the suit was so quick, for a moment she thought he was never even in the room but the open blinds, her racing heart and burning cheeks were proof that it wasn't just her imagination.

Shaking her head, she patted her chest a few times, willing her heart to slow down as she got out of the bed and started getting ready before Heejung decided to come looking for her once again.
